A new set of screenies from mine and Justo's EU3 game. I just recently changed over to Great Britain, he's emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, but more on that later. Outside of Europe, I possess Greenland, the Azores, the Canaries, and Bermuda. Brittany, Switzerland, Tunis, and France are all British vassals. There's more as well to be discussed later. Justo has Iceland, which is not displayed on the below map. Sweden and Castile are the only other real powers at the moment, as I've seen it, the rest seem to be more or less struggling. What's left of France is my vassal.
As it turned out, with some dead time while Justo consolidated the Holy Roman Empire, the Pope was kind enough to declare a crusade upon Tunis. After English forces brought the heathens there to their knees as vassals, the Pope declared a crusade against the Mamluks, the holders of the Holy Land. English and Burgundian troops marched triumphantly into Egypt, as the people rose up against the Mamluks as well in a war for the throne. In the treaty, I secured control of Libya, Judea, and Gaza. With luck, I'll be able to restore the Kingdom of Jerusalem before the Reformation hits.
Speaking of Justo, he's gotten himself into a little bit of a pickle. Having reached the final two stages of forming the Holy Roman Empire into a single state, he's hit a bit of a snag. With the decision to create all of the members as vassals of Burgundy, the nobles of the HRE showed some backbone. He's now effectively at war with all of Europe, having been fighting Castile and Aragon when the problem erupted. Here's a diplomatic map, all the red is who he is at war with.
