While We Wait: Boredom Strikes Back

Meh, I expanded form the Purity one.

I enjoy dnd webcomics just because of the joy of a crit hit on the boss will you are barely standing and they roll a one for your coup-de-grace, Causing him, in his evilness, to slip in a pool a blood toward you as you lift your sword which enters his throat.

That was so close. No, it wasn't a loaded dice.

Goblins, where humans and dwarves are neutral-evil and goblins try to live their lives out as chaotic good.
Order of the stick. I still get some lolwut moments.
More embarrassing comics I wish not to share.

Aaaargh, read a good webcomic, like Hark! A Vagrant, or something, not xkcd

What, isn't it underground or clever enough for you? :p

I personally think that it has lost plenty of its charm since early times. But it's definitely not bad in my eyes.

I read Questionable Content myself. It has the same problem, used to be all about some random music, then sex became more of the thing the characters talked about, and now there's just too much drama in my eyes.

It's still good though.

You must have me confused with somebody from New England.

It's not as good as it used to be - no, not because it got popular, but because the subject matter mostly changed - and was a little overrated to begin with. I just have a bug up my ass about that one particular "sheeple" one.

I think it was Dachs that got me reading 'Dinosaur Comics', that's my favourite :)

Lord Joakim doesn't know enough about American regional stereotypes yet, I think.

It would be like if you said, "oh, so it isn't piquant or episodic enough for you?" And he said, "Psh, do I look like I'm from Hovedstaden?"

No, because who the hell knows what Hovedstaden is. New England, for better or for worse, is in AMERICA, which is all that matters. :D

Also, Thlayli's and LittleBoots' comments on this are hilarious. No, I didn't get the stereotype. :p

It's not as good as it used to be because I think the themes of the comics have changed into things I really don't relate to. So yeah, I might agree with you. Once in a while, something good does show up.

It's like a Danish comic I'm reading. It used to be funny, now they've lost inspiration and keeps up plagiarizing all sorts of bad jokes. It's not good anymore - of course, there are strips making a good point once in a while.

What's up with the "sheeple" one that you don't like then?

EDIT: Also, Dafty, I read a couple of Dinosaur Comics, but I never really hooked onto them.

No. I am the hit man. Behind you.

EDIT: A job well done! :D

To keep true to the 'relevant to NESing' requirement of the thread, someone should make an anthill NES. I've suggested it before, but nobody's done it. So I'll throw that big floppy suggestion on the table.
Heheh, I've had that thought before too- a battle of hymenoptera, set in someone's back yard!

I read far too many webcomics, so it might be best if I don't bring it up. :p

BTW, I watched Die Hard 4.0 again last night, don't you think Luckymoose did a really great performance as the hacker hero dude?

The reason why boston is awesome: octoberfest festival today featured a shirtless young gentleman in a kilt wearing a bowler hat riding a six or seven foot unicycle, playing Scotland the Brave on bagpipes.

I partake the truly awesome part was the shirtless guy? 'Cause, really, if you want, you can find those pretty much anywhere.

the NES chat link in FAQ doesn't connect. can someone post a new link here?

Never seen a six/seven foot unicycle before, and definitely never seen someone playing a bagpipe while riding one.

I was looking through the NESing FAQ thread, and I noticed that the following threads by Symphony D. are still up:

THEORY: Philosophy of NESing
DOCTRINE: Simulationism

I think these two should be removed from the list, due to the retroactive deletion of content.

Damn, didn't realize he went deleting even that.

There's still plenty of content in there, it's just not in his posts.
