The very idea of a historical NES is an insult to the rich tapestry of the human past ;) - far better to have scifi and fantasy* where the arbitary nature of player contributed stories and rulesets is a valid choice ;)

I think I'm being blinded by the power of Smug (or Greyskull)
:p

OMG it stinks! He says sappy things that smell! :p

Mind I think I prefer those NESes so as not to be constrained, but still.

NESes CAN simulate the rich tapestry of the human past, they just require a mod with consummate historical and cultural knowledge and Herculean work ethic, which is hard to find.

While we're on the topic of the forum having nothing worth playing, if you have really killed SysNES dis, would you release all the other systems info and tell us about the aliens and other plot devices? Grazie.

Also, come hell or high water my main thread will be up ce weekend.

There would be no NES forum if it wasn't for those historical NES'....

EDIT: @spry, would an alternate history set around the 16th-17th century work?

More like I'm an NESkiller :p But yea, that is a great one spry could give a spin.

Hey, thar. Remember moi.

My time's not that valuable, and I need crack anyway, even if it's a really small hit. If you want to go after that one, spry, I'll help you out and play in it.

Considering you lazys got through maybe 0.1% of the story trees, I'd rather save them for another NES/entertainment product. Ditto the remaining planet images.

The Ming TL is late 18th century. I don't remotely trust my ability to do that. Too many chimneys, rifles and revolutionaries.

One of the problems I'll happily admit, the rule set I've given Kal hopefully will address that with more scope for trade, cheaper ships overall and cheaper early game defence.

There has also been a look at limiting the need to maximise s

I'm most worried about that, so there may be tweaks in game!

Well everyone could've been just like the Soulon, home of the race with the crappiest society traits in all of the Hydra Tuft. Not a single production, research, or food bonus. :( EDIT: Scratch that, I actually had penalties for research! :/

Kal when do you plan on launching your NES?:)

i actually really enjoyed that NES but sort of got kicked out early (DAMN THAT SEON!)

Probably over Christmas. I have some exams atm. But I'll set a thread up on Monday/Tuesday for people to sign up and create traits.

How will it be the same/different from last time?
