While We Wait: Part 5

.

if i EVER see that on a random website, I will shoot you, just to point that out. ;)

You are so sadly mistaken. I had the equivalent of Panzer III's and Spitfires in 1790, with mid-WW II level infantry equipment.

That was one of the very silly things about that NES. Also setting in that time frame ment Europe has a much bigger population advantage against the rest of the world, and being so much poorer than the GEAR would probably lead to higher growth rates..."Young asians to arms! Defend the middle realms against the numberless white hordes!"

Well this is a random website....*waiting for the bang*

None of whom like each other, none of whom are united by the 'threat' of the EUA, some of whom (Iggy) don't even want to go to war at all, and none of whom are of any threat. Assuming the EUA even cares about them, Dis could sit there and watch them launch their uncoordinated efforts, fall apart, and laugh while his airships o'doom zoom all over the world bombing the bejeezus out of anybody and everybody.

Didn't you already try that and fail? :p
Well, les Provinces-Unis du Canada were officially a satellite of the HRE, but we were fairly close (relationship and proximity) to the Estados Unidos, and my leader's political background would lead him more towards the EUA camp in the event of a war.

Exactly. The various PUAF successor states had almost no cohesion. The South wanted to fight the North and vice versa, Canada was off doing its own thing and becoming one of the few places in this Godforsaken world worth living, and the Frontier was possibly the only one of them that might have been interested in fighting the EUA except doubtless Dis had already managed to work out some deal with the Native Americans and probably even sprinkle the frontier of the Frontier with Americano immigrants.

Eh? Please be checking the updates; I created Frontier as a state why would I fight it when its completely in my orbit and only didn't become part of the EUA already because the HREoFN would have been pissed? The long term disagreements would have been with PUO over being a slave owning blot on the hemisphere (and undercutting our agri business ;)), Canada over not securing their borders and harbouring terrorists, and the PUNA for being a possible military threat a bit too close for comfort (with the huge strike range of the technologies das was allowing).

And Old Mexico and Transcoloarado were very nice places to live in that NES thank you very much - why did you think everyone wanted to move there?

It was kinda hard to secure the borders of a big country with nothing but a few divisions of our Forest Corps. :p

I remember my only annoyance with that NES being the Ottawa Valley. It was a nasty blot on the map that really should have just become part of the PUC. ;)

It's been a long time. Still means that they weren't a threat to you, which was my point.

Reasons for you to fight them. They, on the other hand, are too busy squabbling with one another to attack you.

I thought that the - Cleric, wasn't it? - terrorists that you and Symphony took out in northern Canada was one of the funnier unknown episodes of the NES.

"One of the few" isn't exclusive of the EUA. :p

It was made even funnier by us using my secret arctic bases to launch the attack...secret arctic bases I had built as staging posts for a dirigible attack over the north pole into Russia! (Cue supervillian laugh). You know, just in case Russia looked like it might crush the HRE too quickly ;).

Yeah, and I was so spread out that I never even learned about it until the NES had closed. :p

Basically, Cleric and I were cooperative rebels. When we gained our independence, our organizations joined into the first government of the PUC, and he went off in another direction, of which I never inquired into to avoid incriminating my government.

The is only one way to solve this:

Das, NES2 VIc?

Java updated?
