While We Wait: Part 6

I didn't catch it either. I guess you're just way too intelligent for the rest of us, North King.

Das had just commented on silver's username, specifically the 2039 that looked like a year. I said sp's life would be more interesting, because his username has 1023 in it. 1023 is in the past; I had just made a joke about the Mossad having a time machine. It was a little convoluted, but I thought it was funny. I wasn't trying to put down Lucky or anything, I don't know why you're quite so hostile.

Oh, I would never have figured that out. He isn't even Jewish, that makes for a perfect cover.

Nor would I hahahaha... I wasn't trying to be hostile... Just making a statement of what could have been fact!

@Amon: Well, its a combination of two other nicknames.

Mashpoo was something the health teacher called him for no apparent reason one day, just out of the blue.

Redpants was from Mr. Redpants, when a school librarian came over because we were being too loud in the study room and she said "You there, Mr. Redpants! *Insert lecture here*"

And thus, there you have it.

LMAO that's some funny stuff, right there!

I thought about something. We all know that Symphony was perhaps one of the most intellectual of people in here. At least he speaks that way, and I played with the thought whether it had always been that way. Iggy for an instance noted some WWW threads ago that his first posts embarrased him (And I'm pretty sure that he have edited them due to that :p Or it was someone else in here, don't remember very well), so I wondered: Could Symphony D. have a dark OT Perfection worshipper past?

The post below is quoted from a thread how to rename tanks during a number of ages during Civ 3.

I've been contemplating my own modifications to PTW and have come across this issue as well. I'd suggest:

Tank -> Medium Tank -> Battle Tank -> Modern Battle Tank

The first tanks were simply tanks. No lights, no heavies, no mediums. The vast majority of tanks in WWII that are well known (Sherman, T-34/85, Tiger) were roughly all of Medium caliber. The Cold War era tanks were all "Battle" tanks, there weren't as many diverse weight classes. Finally, we have the Modern Battle Tank, which is fairly homogenous from one country's to the next. Also, Challenger 2/Leopard 2/Abrams M1A2 may be chronologically similar to the T-90, but they could tear those things up. I don't really like Medium Tank though. Attack Tank or something to that effect would be better.

As you might notice, there's arguments, backup knowledge, and a personal view on the subject. Compared to my first thread:

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=225526

Terrible. Well, it was ok I guess, but there were really no true arguing in the OP. I was shot down quite effectively by a number of people because my arguments were terrible. And about two months later I was licking the Butt of Perfection in Off Topic with the rest of the @fiftychatters.... *shudder*

Please forgive me my sins.

Do you have any dark pasts that you'd like to share?

Well... When I was defeated in NukeNES at the same time of a minor depression I sent images of gore and stabbing myself...

I am to high bred to change the posts. :p, you can still find them.

Wow, that was a fun couple of pages I missed cause I was at the doc's.

Regarding Chandrasekhar's NES I am very interested, but my nation has nothing more to do or say at this point until the update and I know how stuff works out. I know several others feel that way also. So yes my feedback drops off as I simply have no more questions or statements at the moment.

NK, I agree about how hard it is to get player interest...

Play it yourself, select a small nation and put a few stories in it yourself (other than that bethmoth of a Wonder of the Modern World you modestly call an update). I do it and I found that there are some things that people have to understand: stories and orders!

Hey, does anyone know where there is a good 20 number RNG for my battles? Thanks!
A d20? ;)

Well, here is the page that contains the first contact of Thlayli and I with das, in his old Civ3 Stories and Tales althistory. I was enthusiastic and trying too hard to be funny and friendly. I didn't start NESing until August 11, 2005, when I joined Kamilian's Fifth NES (what memories I have of that) and a pre-JNES. I was extremely shy and probably excessively polite, because I saw the NESing forum as a very elite group on Civfanatics.

Well, here is how I do my battles.

1 dice per army.

1 casualty per 7 over.

if total is over 100, both sides lose 1 more army: continue with 200 and so on.

Not that I recall.

Really? I don't remember. You must have done a pretty boring job or only did it briefly so I didn't notice.

What's wrong with licking my butt? I do wipe!

In case anyone thinks that they need to be ashamed of their past on this forum, my first NES was largely a fiasco for me, in which I swore repeatedly at the moderator when things didn't go my way; I was the epitome of an annoying, idiotic n00b.

It's always fun to just ask for gaming dice for the holidays or birthdays. :D

I declared war on a nation that had 20,000 troops stationed in my own, and then told everyone to go . .. .. .. . themselves.

Fun times.
