I don't see any evidence of a bubble being created, there might however be some evidence of a bubble being prolonged. That of course ignores the fact that prices in commercial space have trended down in most major markets, not as badly as house prices but that's to be expected.

What's worse than 1929 is that the USA is not the same industrial powerhouse, and already has huge deficits instead of having budget/trade surplusses.

It still has the largest manufacturing base in the world. Australia has comparable trade deficits as well.

Sadly enough, budget deficits no longer have meaning, as long as our government's debt remains an attractive commodity in the global financial system. (And yes, I'm updating. This is just a random thought.)
