Links? I recall Starlife had a slew of nes', but I do not recall a steampunk one. I'm more interested in its mechanics/how they fit with the lore; steampunk is not a genre that 'clicks' with me normally.

Oh look, Boundless has named his king Aiken. A-hahaha, what homage!

His name is not Aiken :p

SteamNES by Iggy was better than that Starlife crap.

It probably was, I'm not arguing with you. Starlife had some interesting ideas. Iggy is a good moderator. There's a big difference between the two.

But nutra wanted the links and I provided them. I still think that both the "interesting idea" and the "competent" moderators can teach us lessons.

Especially since I'm more the former than the latter.

It is a pity that Starlife's projects had such little staying power- I think they could have been awesome had they lasted. :(

So you say his ideas aren't interesting? HOW LITTLE YOU KNOW!

I used to hang out with this guy named Freeman. He spent several hours of several days explaining Galaxy NES to me and how enraptured he was with it. I do not underestimate Iggy's games just because I've never actually played one.

But Starlife had those really "out of the box" ideas that are not remotely practical but which really make you think about things.

Agreed. I enjoyed them, despite their length, which is really all that matters for a game.

Lucky, I'm going to have to come to SKILORD's defense here. He's not saying that GalaxyNES is unoriginal or anything of the sort- he's pointing out that Starlife tried to run some NES concepts that were unlike anything that had been done before. GalaxyNES is basically a nation-based pure story NES, which contains many creative ideas, but isn't testing the limits of what a NES can be in quite the same ways.

For all GMs of NESes I'm in: Please note, I've had a name change.

Why Optical? I liked General Olaf. Advance Wars references always are good in my book.

It was an Advance Wars reference?

I - fairly recently - became a pacifist, partly in respect to a friend. In light of that, the whole 'General' thing made very little sense. A name change to 'Olaf' got shouted down about six months ago.

Optical then became first choice because I identify a lot with my eyesight, and I wear contacts.

Simple, really. ;)

Regarding being an electronic music aficionado, it hit me roughly 6 years ago and I never looked back. ;)
I found some really good tracks on youtube that are quite good, and I enjoy them very much so. :)

Generals can be pacifists. Colonel Sanders just wanted to cook chicken, but they didn't take his rank away.
