A question to everyone, how many of you have had mead?

I've never tried but I would like to... Its sweet??

Fruity Drinks are good... but give hell of a hangover the next day.

As for mead, I have tried something that branded itself as mead, but tasted more like sweetened rubbing alcohol. I tried to make mead, once, but I bottled it too soon, and so the end product was way too yeasty

The mead I can get from a local vineyard/meadery (which surprised me that there was one in southwest Ohio) is basically like drinking 20 proof honey it is delicious. I'm not sure if this is "true" mead as at the international market I get it at the foreign stuff sells for $40 while the local stuff is $10.

They are rather yummy... Too bad their expensive and I'm almost 99% of the time the driver.

I actually can't drink due to a genetic disorder. And the nes-chat mibbit link doesn't work anymore. If you want to get onto NES, I recommend downloading IceChat, installing it, joining the server 'razorvine.selfip.nes' and then typing /join #nes. That's how I've gotten on for the better part of the last year, and it works really well.

I was in Novgorod, so I didn't have a choice. It's pretty famous for the local take on the subject of mead over here.

It wasn't bad, I suppose, but I didn't really get into it. I'm not much of a drinker anyway, which may have had to do with it.
