If it is for #NES players how can someone who is online at least once a day for multiple hours at a time on the #NES channel not hear about it until it is posted on the forums? Just curious.

I got talking with NK about minecraft and the conversation led to the server, the address of which was posted in chat - I assumed it probably had a forum and all so wasn't a secret thing. Anyway it depends who's there in chat, Symphony and FC are the main players I think, they can tell you all about it.

No lie, seeing pictures of Minecraft makes me want to dive back into the game and start playing again. Trying to refresh my memory here, but is Tekkit more difficult to run than vanilla Minecraft?

MOST DEFINATELY
You will at the later points have about 900% more stuff active than in vanilla.
a lot of lag can result.

It seems to include a whole host of mods. I'd never played Tekkit before but I recognised some things such as the inventory backpacks.

Not much lag for me though, I get a lot more lag visiting multiplayer servers with their giant cities.

Well, I used to play Tekkit, before they removed IC2, Red Power, and EE. Now I do not know anything about the mod since those were the integral mods for me.
