There less running NESes, but there as many if not more people each year, this year no different. It's also not the slowest it has ever been I think, its slows down mostly on "study" times. (Apparently I am wrong at the growing numbers one, but at least changing people! right?)

Right now thought there are a few highly developed NESes and very few (if any) simpler ones. Hard to be a beginner in this times, and I personally enjoy fresh starts the most and non currently exist to my knowledge...

From the period of which I posted 'till this moment, not a single update on a single NES. At the moment there are 11 threads being posted on since I made my comment. 3 of them on actual NES threads. 2 of these NESes started between then and now, which makes 1 active NES?

Excuse my ignorance, but this is not impressive by any historical standard which this forum has been held to. Cool to see how many of the old crew are still hanging out doe. I imagine this to be the biggest problem of the community, considering the forum is still a subforum of Civ3. What player brought into the fold from civ5 would ever go to the civ3 sub forums? New players become scarcer and old players move on.

Didn't expect such a negative reply to my post, to be honest. I would petition the mods to move this sub-forum to the civ5 section.

Given the new standards of the impending collapse of Western civilization caused by Tumblr enlightened cultural mores of social justice, I suggest all old* games be given a trigger-warning for "terrible."

* "Old" to be defined as a rolling system of anything that ceased being updated more than 3 years ago, potentially subject to appeal as adjudicated by a review body to be formed for the express purpose of hearing such objections.
