Why so silent?

If you go out and look what kind of people are out there, like I did, you will see that some people examplify ugliness itself and make decisions that lead them to be failures.

Where and when was this? I was out there just after the Charlie Hebdo attacks, and I found that the attitude of most Palestinians was much less ugly than that of the Israelis. From Palestinians I would generally hear "We all worship the same God, we should live in pease", while from the Israelis I would hear "You will see, there is a war coming and you shall have to choose a side". I wonder how your experience could be so different.

I do admire how a country as small as Israel is able to sollicit aid from the US, out of sheer respect instead of pity.

Heh. Sure. Israel is so loved here. Mostly they have the fortune of being hostile to countries that are Arabic and Muslim and not on particularly good terms with us. We do so love to tinker. Personally, after the amount of insults to our diplomacy Israel has farted out to the current administration I'd be thrilled if we cut them off the teat. They're old enough it's embarrassing for all parties involved to still be breastfeeding. It's become parasitic. Am I allowed to say that, or does that cross into ''ermagherd holocaust anti-Semitic rage more funding plox'' territory?

I don't support the winning side because it is winning. When I pick a side in whatever conflict, I support the side who is underpinned by what I think are the best kind of values. The one I believe deserves to win: The one side that actively plays to win and uses creativity to do so.

I'm not even sure it's proper to think of individuals, let alone nations, as winners or losers. As for who deserves to win, I'm afraid you've lost me quite.

So do you support the one with the best kinds of values or the one who is "playing to win" (whatever that means)?

You're saying two different things here, with two very different meanings.

Unless you believe "might makes right" as the value you support.
