For the sake of this question, I ask that you please not read too much into the question. Please assume that all life continues as normal (as in, energy consumption won't increase if the street lights need to be on 24/7 or something like that.)

I will vote for "eternal day." The night is when things go BUMP.

We're also assuming that physiological functions go on as normal and the only difference would be in aesthetics.

Actually, I'd probably like an eternal evening.

I normally like sleeping through the day anyway so it doesn't bother me that much. Eternal Day.

hmm, night. the moon is purdy. stars are purdy. campfires and fireplaces and torches and dimmed lights are neat. plus getting to sleep when it is light out is difficult for me. unless a power nap is called for.

rather have eternal dawn or dusk, though.

...hmm... you're right, the night is pretty... :( I shouldn't have voted early.

also... we can pretend to be vampires! and... scary stories are never scary when you tell them at noon on a field of clover! nightingales would be like pigeons... fireflies like mere moths.

I hope I don't come off as emo but the night is so much more magical. would have to lose sunflowers, though. those are purdy as well...

Day. 'cause then I can see stuff.

Eternal dawn would be awesome.

Eternal dawn during the Spring would be even awesomer.

aye. only thing about getting up very early (or going to bed very late) is that you get to watch dawn. even prettier than night.

eternal day because energy costs would go up way too much if it was night all the time

teehee OP.....

I really really like to see stuff, so, day. For example, I de-fog the car's windshield using outside air + the air conditioner, even if the car in front of me has stinky exhaust, because I'm under the wacky impression that I need to see when driving. My wife begs to differ.

I have near perfect night vision, as in, I can see everything in my house without a light on if I wake up in the middle of the night perfectly. That said, I would still hate eternal night.
