Saw this last night. Thought it was pretty enjoyable, though the numerous continuity niggles annoyed greatly. Anyone else seen it?

Saw it yesterday and actually quite enjoyed it. Not likely to win any oscars, but good fun and for once the hero was British!

This film was so awesome it made Boundless and I watch the box-set the next night. We were disappointed by this. I want to be Azazel.

It was okay. The pacing felt rushed, ("I-AM-GONNA-BE-A-PROFFESSOR-NOW-I-AM-ONE-LOOK-WERE-XMEN-NOW"). Magneto was good but Wolverine's cameo was easily the best part, which is all you really need to know about the movie. Kevin Bacon has a stupid face.
I smiled at that. His own film was possibly better, if anything, actually.

I LOVED Magneto and how his character developed - the only flaw was how quickly he went 'evil' I suppose - but it kind of made sense - he was almost TOO nice at points considering how god-awful his life had been before.

Between this and Inglourious Basterds, I think there's a case that "Michael Fassbender kills Nazis in bars" ought to become its own genre. I loved his performance, probably more than I liked McKellan's. I'd cautiously declare this the best X-Men yet, but it's been a while since I've seen X2, so I may have to reevaluate. The lack of Wolverine focus was very refreshing though.

For me, I know it was a nod to the fan boys, but it was actually a bit of a jerk to see his character I could have done without.
I agree entirely that Michael Fassbender played his role awesomely. Especially the Argentinian scenes.

I liked the movie, but found the continuity issues significant to the point of distraction. And while I smiled at the Wolverine cameo, it also made me cringe, because it never happened and slapped the first X-Man movie in the face continuity wise. Also, I thought in the first X-Man movie it was stated that Cerebro was built by Professor X and Magneto, but this movie indicates that Hank McCoy built it - and apparently McCoy is such a super-genius that he built everything...even their modified SR-71 Blackbird. Oh well.
I did like the Magneto back-story, and appreciated the time they took telling it. By far the most complex and interesting character in the film. I also didnt mind Shaw either, and thought Kevin Bacon did a pretty good job as the bad guy here.
