YnAMP - Larger Map, TSL, Continents++ (beta)

YnAMP - Larger Map, TSL, Continents++ (beta) 1.0.7

Giant is unplayable, just here for testing how it looks.

To load it, you need to select the Giant size.

For me, it doesn't work during the game loading once the map is chosen. It freezes and returns to Steam (ejected from the game).
I have taken Greatest Earth
:(

Okay, I understand. You need to consider both the choice of the map and the size of the map. Sorry for the confusion

yes, I'll try to make it automatic at some point.

Excellent mod! I did encounter a bug however. In my most recent game on Continents++ a large group of islands were accessible but were Distant Lands. The independent people on them were not interactable aside from combat and there were distant land resources on it. I'm on the latest version. This has happened in two of my games now.

Idea: With larger map sizes I think it would make sense to increase the settlement limit.

Maybe like this:

Large: Base limit 3 as in standard
Huge: 4
Massive 4
Giant: 5
Ludicrous: 6

@Gedemon don't know if you would consider incorporating this as part of your mod?

I agree that it would require balance testing. But if the AI is as capable as the player at making use of the increased cap, then I do believe that the increased map sizes warrant it.

Great mod!!! I have successfully completed a full game in giant earth map from antiquity age to modern age and get cultural victory. I didnt settle cities in America so the white tiles bug not affect me. But I could only start in random place so I hope the TSL can be added to the map. Thank u so much.

I'd prefer to increase the number of players

Looking at the mini map, it's obvious who the player civ was lol.

Too bad the AI doesn't colonize in a more natural way in these large maps.

Maybe it is a stupid question but where to put dl files on steam version? Can't find path which is written ...

If X is limited to 127, can we increase Y so we can have 127x127 Mercator map with Greenland and Antarctica?

copy

Code:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VII\Mods

Does it mean that Age Progression is slower on larger maps? If so, could you please tell me by how much? (I'm messing with it as well, trying to find the right balance)
I've just tweaked the value based on the original map sizes progression, to prevent a default (unknown) value to be assigned.

How do I use Auto play ?

The more I play the more I am hoping a more hand painted earth map can come out soon. A lot of starts feel kind of weird right now. I am definitely happy to have an earth map so soon, but I hope even when the huge earth map gets added it can be edited to match the unique features and circumstances of Civ 7.

Greece gets bonuses to spawning on rough tiles, but in every game I have played as them, it has been totally flat and arid. They almost never settle in Anatolia either, a navigable river as the bosphorus would help.

The Nile doesn't seem to always spawn as a navigable river for Egypt, which absolutely destroys them when that is the case.

China spawns in Mordor in most of my games because Chang'an finds itself boxed in by not just mountains but also volcanos. And much of the bread basket of China is often deserts. The Himalayas are weird, because they frequently spawn as a hard wall towards China, but a porous one to India. And there is often multiple tiles that are impossible to take in the center of China because they are totally surrounded in mountains.

Not so much trying to complain, because as I said I am very grateful to get the earth map so early, but just saying I will be happy when the biomes, mountains, and rivers correlate better because the situation is kinda weird for some starts. And volcanos a bit excessive anywhere there are mountains, etc
