Yor Religious (or Non-Religious) View

Atheist...:)

Still, :rotfl:

@People saying science is your religion... Be carefull, it sounds almost like your saying Scientology...

@phlegmak: On the contrary . . .

There are lots of people here who are religious but do more than constantly proselyte; and asking someone a specific question is better than reading about it somewhere else.

@Perf: If by special, you mean "made from a Betty Crocker mix", then yes.

haha we haven't had any scientologists yet. It would be fun if we had one. The debate would be intresting.

It would be rather lame, actually. It wouldn't even be a real debate, considering how one-sided it would be. It wouldn't even be as amusing as debating a white supremacist.

yeah, like seeing a dog making love to someone's leg... funny for some time, then just lame...

No, I've spent a lot of time around Scientologists. Well, "a lot" meaning more than the average nonScientologist. They proselytize more than you can imagine. Never have I been so pressured into buying something or joining something until I met Scientologists. I went to their church in San Francisco to just learn about them. That was where all this happened.

Also, I can answer most of your questions about Scientology if you want. I could have started an "Ask a Scientolgist" thread but that's way too much work.

That's not even homemade

The order is:
Special bronwies
Homemade brownies
Mix brownies
Store baught brownies
Betty Crocker mix brownies are fantastic. I've made my own brownies from scratch lately, but still Betty Crocker's are great.

Mormons and Scientologists share a niche as cults that only the gullible would be sucked in by.

Looking at the (real) history of both systems makes one realise how shallow they are.

I guess they give a underscore to how most religions operate - In their greed for cash.

...

You can say a lot of things about Mormonism...that its historical claims are bunk, that they're too old fashioned and have lost touch with current society, that they're too pushy, that their colleges are full of weirdos...and you can go on and on.

But to say that the faith is motivated, or that its founders were motivated, by money, is completely wrong. If somebody goes into Mormonism for the dough....they are in the WRONG businesses.

I've decided to become a white supremacist scientologist.

Because, damnit, I evolved from WHITE CLAMS!!!!

To answer the thread question:
Jesus has answered more of my prayers than Odin
Odin has ignored a smaller percentage of my prayers than Jesus

I can throw a javelin further than I can carry a (proper) cross
I prefer mead to wine

I don't believe in any gods that I have read or heard about.

The diff. is Mormons are not violent murderers of there followers. Since they don't hurt anybody I have no business arguing with them.

Scientologist on the other hand have killed hundreds.

Or the right business, depending on how much they make!
