Your favorite chat software?

Most of my chat goes through Steam, and on rare occasions, Facebook.

I mainly use Windows Live, but i hate how it uses your name and not a screen name like before, so I had to change it to my screen name, Before you could have your real name and then have a screen name on top of that.

Not quite...I remember downloading MSN proper because I found Windows Messenger inferior in one regard or another.

I also used to use Chatzilla during my Firefox days. Chrome doesn't have any IRC extensions, though -- none that I'm aware of.

It was the same chat protocol, just a slightly dumber client, and in any case it doesn't make one bit of difference to what I was saying so I don't see why there are now 4 separate posts about it :p

Primarily GChat for regular text-based chatting, since I'm going to read my e-mail anyway and a lot of friends also use it. AIM Lite comes in second, but lower than it used to since fewer and fewer people sign on to AIM these days. I use Skype for video calls and audio calls but am not logged on to it all that often. Often it's a case of I'm already talking to someone on GChat and we decide to Skype, or I'm talking on the phone and we decide to Skype since it's cheaper. I also use GChat occasionally to make phone calls since it's free to call to regular phones in the U.S. and Canada from anywhere in the universe.

Since when has success stopped spambots?

Since when is success compatible with spambotting?

I use mIRC. It's clunky for IRC noobs but I  it.

Also Skype if I ever remember to install it.

I used AIM for about a decade. Yeah I'm old whatever.

At least a half dozen people think the OP is a bot, and yet nobody of these people reported it. Thanks for caring about this forum ^^.

I have ICQ and Trillian here, and i hate the interface of both. Haven't changed yet because i'm too lazy to create new accounts.
Sky is okay in these regards.

I don't chat much online. Occasionally someone'll start chatting me up on FB. On gmail I'm in invisible but will occasionally come off to chat (usually with the GF). I like Skype for webcam chat but don't use it all that much. I generally prefer e-mail to chat.
