I tried to analyze the names and determine which female character would likely be one of the more aesthetic and attractive. I was basing this off of clear keys for femininity, possible status as protagonists or good guys, etc...

I ended up choosing Yukari Yakumo, who I would guess is a traditionally feminine character and with a potential brother in Roy, unlikely to be a "bad guy."

Upon googling my hypothesis was verified, I had chosen an attractive blonde chick Though other particulars and basic assumptions may be wrong, the overall result was a success. Without any prior knowledge and no investigation besides the names I had succeeded in choosing a single favorite character.

Though again, since I don't know much about touhou, I don't intend to derail the thread. Anyone who wants to ask about the methods feel free to do so but really I was just looking at name composition in vowels etc...
