using celebrity to give voice to the voiceless is justifiable
What would the owners do if all black players always kneeled for the anthem? It's not like the league will shut down, they want their $$
You ever see the movie "The Replacements"?
But Trump said he loves the poorly educated. Most of them are poorly educated and unemployable outside the NFL at anything other than a menial job

D O W N W I T H T H E T R A I T O RBattle Hymn of the Republic > Team America Theme > Lookin' Out My Backdoor by CCR > Nails Scraping on Chalkboard > Star-Spangled Banner
They already have the chance to watch, and they don't.
Most of them are poorly educated and unemployable outside the NFL at anything other than a menial job so I know who I think will buckle first.
That's because we have two superior alternatives in the NFL and NCAA football. Take one of those options away and I bet the CFL would become a lot more popular in the US until the NFL got back up and running.
Nah, remember that 2 year baseball strike in the mid 90s? People didn't start following Japanese baseball, they just switched to the NFL, which is part of how Football eclipsed baseball as the "National Pastime". I remember baseball being king before that strike, but after the strike, the stadiums were empty, nobody cared about baseball anymore. They went years and never recovered and it ultimately took a steroid-fueled home run race to get people interested in baseball again, but they didn't switch to another country's baseball league. So I think @warpus is right that CFL wouldn't benefit much from the NFL's absence. That's because we have two superior alternatives in the NFL and NCAA football. I think the real issue here is that there just isn't much demand for either, which is why you don't get the tv coverage. The difference being that Japanese baseball wasn't, and still isn't, televised in the US while you can occasionally find CFL games on TV.
Did you see what the league looked like when they tried to replace the refs?
Can't watch the CFL. They disrespectfully refuse to play the Star Spangled Banner before their games.
After a few weeks the fantasy players and gamblers would keep the popularity up once they figure out who was who.If you literally replaced everyone the popularity would nosedive,
