This entire charade is in the defense of Omar, who is a genuine racist, so you can count me as somewhat irritated by this.

It was isolated... From what I can see Trump told an immigrant refugee who was attacking Trump to go back to her ruined country and fix it before criticizing the USA. If you think Trump included 1-3 of her friends, go ahead. But a racist wouldn't invite 4 women to leave the country, they'd invite millions of 'brown' people to join them.

Yes I know what he's saying...and thats my rebuttal. If Trump was a racist he wouldn't tell 1-4 women to leave the country, he'd tell millions of people to leave. There are no white refugee immigrants in Congress attacking him. If there were Trump would find a way to counter attack and accusing them of ingratitude is the obvious choice. Thats what he's doing to Omar.

White people have been telling other white people to leave the country if they dont like it long before Trump, long before I was born. So why is it racist if those people treat 'brown' people the same way? Trump's being accused of racism because he's an equal opportunity offender.

First of all, what is America here? The current government? But they are sitting members of Parliament! An ideal image of the country? So which image is it? So it must be the current Republican Administration... But of course, they are partisan. So?

And secondly, isn't criticism first speech and thus a good thing. Isn't that what democracy is all built on? How far is it okay to go? You US Americans make fun of the Germans for not allowing depictions of Nazis in Games, but you fetishize your own flag so much that you get personally offended when it's burned (yet you print it on underwear at the same time). This sort of blind patriotism seems to preclude free speech, no?

That angle seems to me at least as worthy of discussion than the racism thing which I dare say you will obviously never convince Tristan and berzerker.
