Speculation Hilary might be back.

Basically the current crop are not the best.
I hope so... nothing would unite the party around one candidate like someone emerging as the anti-Hillary candidate.
Bidens greatly helped by the mediocrity of the other moderates whilst the liberal/left support is split between his 2 main challengers. Warren and Sanders combined consistently get around 40% in the polls.

I've been convinced that Sanders / Warren voters are not as fungible as they should be. I'm guessing if Warren were to drop out, at least half her voters would go to Harris and if Bernie had to withdraw, at least half, if not most, of his voters would go to Biden.

Polling

They used Warren and Biden.

17 battleground states, but Trump's putting up numbers similar to 2016.

Dems lead with women and minorities but Trump leads with men.

So Trump can still win.

Its all going to be about base turn out. Trumps at max on his turnout of the base. I fully expect him to repeat that feat again. They really would rather be russian than dems. If dems hit 75% turnout for their base they will crush trump. Of course doing that still seems hard to pull off.

I think Biden's damaged goods now.
He and his son may not have done anything wrong but the Republicans will constantly push Hunter getting loads of money without relevant experience. It will act as a constant reminder of how much Biden is part of the establishment.

They may not have done anything illegal, but definitely did things wrong.

That can only be read as a joke - Harris is dead, she is polling below even Yang and Tulsi :p
She would even lose to Beto - she is this round's Hillary and she even endorsed Hillary's idiocy about Tulsi.

Btw, Yang is very cool. I hope he ends up in a serious gov job in Bernie's government.

At best it's a bad look. To elitist, been around to long, to much baggage.

And to think Trump with hes University, stealing from children with cancer and veterans still manage to win
Still at least Biden is out and this should be a warning to any Democrats thinking about doing what Hunter Biden did.

Trump didn't have political baggage and people saw apprentice Trump not bankrupt scam artist Trump.

There are a lot of former Hillary supporters in Warren's camp. That doesn't make political sense considering how far apart on the political spectrum Warren and Clinton are. A lot of them just want a female president, as shallow as that is. They're likely to jump to the next most viable woman. That's still Kamala in spite of her drop in polls.

Can you explain why you think Warren and Clinton are 'far apart' on the political spectrum? Both started out as Republicans, both professional-managerial class liberals...

That seems like a low blow coming from a Warren supporter. I get she’s hedged onM4A but the attacks coming from her left all of a sudden seem disproportionate to the sin.

Low blow? I am interested in discussing the topic. I like Warren better than Clinton but I don't see them as being very far apart politically. For context I don't think Sanders is that far from Clinton or Warren either.

To everyone but Bernie supporters, Warren is an extreme-left candidate. Medicare for all, high wealth taxes and breaking up the big banks and tech companies are pretty far-out policy positions that I don't think Clinton supported.

To everyone but Americans, these positions are not "far left," they are just "reasonable"

Yea I consider the two parties each to have two parties within them that are pretty distinct. On the democratic side a Clinton democrat is by definition a corporate democrat. A progressive democrat is by definition at least borderline socialist democrat.
