What I'm saying is old people as a demographic are red. The blue boomers will be defeated by red boomers.

There's gonna be a few less boomers come November.
And Trump's gonna be the fall guy.
Trump will never be the fall guy
Trump will never be the fall guy
Given his platform, his few practical achievements, his often touted history as a great businessman, etc., a bad economy going into November is like the one thing he could very well fall on to a big chunk of his own support base, and the one possible chink in his Teflon amour. And a bad economy is happening, and exacerbating, rapidly around us, now!

Ask the GOP propaganda arms...the Democrats are fear mongering the virus to destroy the economy so they can blame Trump. His faithful will not be blinking, bank on it.
That and his handling of the outbreak.
One thing that gets one term presidents is the economy. Carter, Bush I.
They're not dying yet.
Hoover...![]()
Red scare was very real in the 20s.
With what the Soviets were up to it makes sense. Enough Russians managed to flee at the end of the civil war they knew enough.
They killed more people than all the previous Czars put together. And still failed to provide for the people.
In Germany they had communist uprising 1919 iirc.
Mussolini very much played on the Red Scare. His thugs concentrated their attacks on socialists and mostly left the Communists alone since he wanted them to seem more of a threat than they really were. He was also helped by rivalries between the leading liberal and conservative politicians. Like with Hitler they underestimated him and thought they could use him.
Totally but the reds weren't nice in that era. Fascism rose because if it.
I've never agreed with you that the "threat of Communism," was the sole, or deciding factor, of the rise of Fascism. There were quite a few different factors at work, ultimately. History is one my fortes.
There were many factors in the rise of European fascism in the same way there were many factors in the start of the Civil War.I've never agreed with you that the "threat of Communism," was the sole, or deciding factor, of the rise of Fascism. A mere twig in the forest, presumably.
Well, you didn't get that, but just as well.I didn't say that either, obviously.
