2020 US Election (Part Two)

Horrible choice. Looks like my 1st vote in a presidential election will be 2024

You should vote even if you decide not to vote for Biden, there is always third party options. I guess I can't criticize as this will be the first election I have voted in for a while. Though if you do vote please may it not be for Trump or Kanye West!!

Harris seems like a tone deaf pick in this current US anti policy brutality wave . Like picking Hillary in 2016 when there was a huge anti-establishment wave. They could be right candidates, but in the wrong election ?.

But again I don't see trump or the republicans going against Kamala for her police record . The same party whose president says when looting starts shorting starts . Her attackers seem to be more the left wing of democrats than the republicans . It will be fun to watch if republicans suddenly go after her cop record .

Of course they will. They've every bit the principles the Democrats do.

Well, what voting crowd does Kamala add to Biden? Biden already was the "black minority" candidate. Kamala will make it more difficult for Bernie supporters to back Biden, let alone when there is a very real prospect of Biden leaving the presidency if he gets it, and Kamala becoming potus when no one voted her in. She didn't even make it to the first round of the primaries - didn't she drop out after one state? Or even before?
I hope Biden wins, but I am not surprised he made another brain-dead choice. It's almost as if the end is not to get elected, but force your (right-wing) side of the dem party in with you even by risking the actual election.

I think the goal is for Kamala to increase the black vote turnout and to capture a bit more of the women's vote.

How realistic is either? She completely sunk in the primary votes, which were only a little while ago.
And Biden is the one who brings the black vote - it was always his selling point. I think that people were fooled by the "My VP will be a black female" line, cause by itself it sounded nice, but in reality it seems he just wanted to force Kamala on the dem voters all along.
As noted, due to foreign policy reasons I would hate it if Biden lost. But this choice will obviously make his win harder, not easier. Hopefully, though, it won't make it impossible.

That was then, now is now and it's a different ball game. I do think she will excite black voters and centrist women. I think she will campaign well and eat Pence alive in a debate. I would have preferred Susan rice, but Kamala is now a player. We just have to make it work.

Kamala is a safer bet since Biden and her are well familiar with each other and their agendas.

Funnily enough, Trump believes Americans will have to learn Chinese if Biden wins the presidency, perhaps Americans will be forced to use the Metric System and Celsius as well -

That's all fine, but you shouldn't cheer your team when it starts with an own goal, claiming that this is just going to take a little more effort to win.
Hopefully, Biden won't manage to lose, but I am not sure that Kamala won't cost Bernie votes numbering far more than anything she might herself bring in, and I am not seeing why you'd expect something different. Biden's side won in the primaries - it doesn't mean that's an invitation to force the right wing down already not that enthusiastic about Biden voters.

I also don't think it's that different a ball game. Dem voters were called to vote only a few months ago, and sent Kamala to the deep end of the bench. Now she is back, by default, and the one who brought her back asks for those same votes. How many Bernie voters really want Kamala as potus, when Biden is unlikely to be there for much longer even if he wins?

She even openly accused Biden of being a racist, ffs, in those same primary debates... I hope this won't be a train-wreck.

Kamala "lock 'em up and hang 'em high," Harris will REALLY excite Black voters recently engaged in BLM protests?

Biden went with a boring conservative choice which shouldn't surprise anyone since he is a boring conservative.
Still much as it disappoints me its not totally senseless. A fairly large percentage of black voters are conservative and worried about law and order issues.

Honestly, I think if I had the money I'd take out a series of internet election ads saying that the Democrats and lamestream media want you to think the election is November 3rd, but Tuesday is actually on November 4th this year and that's when we need to vote to give Our President a second term.

She even openly accused Biden of being a racist

She did not, actually.

All the same to me, as I said I actually have reasons to want Biden to win.
Let's hope this VP choice won't cost him the non-right wing dem vote. I can't bet on it. Maybe when we are nearer November we'll have a better idea.

As in she did just accuse him of supporting a racist policy out of.. apathy to black people? This sounds better in a tv ad.

Elections not going to be won or lost in places where Uber liberals care about Harris.

It's places like the mid west, Florida, Texas that matter.

Harris doesn't really have to excite anyone just not scare off the punters in states that matter.

Fundraising in California as well.

Yup, back to the demographics being radical enough, and the entire point, so the least exciting possible pick otherwise. Pretty, Californian, and cruel is vanilla.

Well, that would be a win.

I think the Harris choice was in part to silence some of the vanity wing of the party that cares more about melanin and genitalia than policy.

The Ebony-BBC Porn Wing? I didn't know the Democratic Party of the United States had such a thing...

So the **** what?

Harris is the status quo, I'm allowed to be annoyed and frustrated with that. I couldn't give a **** about her "status", she sucks as a candidate, she sucks as a politician and she sucks as a human being, by any definition that actually includes her actions, she ****ing sucks

And she's a cop and cops tend to suck as well
Is there any potential VP choice that would get the Cloud_Strife seal of approval?
