THE RUSSIAN CHRONICLE

The sun is dark and the sky is grey. This is a sign of bad fortune. My people mourn the desicion of war as thier family marches away from thier homes in the nation's color. Proud and ready to fight. Though I can see, in every blue, green black and brown eyes that marchs past me that they are scared, very scared. Sweat drops down my face as we march from the pride of Russia.

Yes, I march with my army and beside it for it is my life, my pride and joy. I will fight alongside them for it is my love for this nation. I mount my horse and look behind my army to see thousands of footsteps on the white snow bed. Miles of marching north towards the Scandinavian Peninsula has brought us to a cliff where we can see the small Viking army marching towards us.

I swiftly call my arrows to fire from here for we have a tremendous advantage from this cliff, though how are we to get down??? "Fire!" I call. Hundreds of arrows shoot through the side of my ears, I can hear it pass, it is lowder than being beside a frozen waterfall.

Another hundred arrows past me when I call that I found the exit to the plains! I call my swift spearmen to march down as my archers shoot from the cliff.

The battle was fierce. THe sky was still dark though just enough to see my sneak attack from behind the Viking army fling through thier backs. There was fire in air. We were weak but strong! Hot but cold! And we still fought with spears in air. Before thier archers were ready to start shooting, my horsemen galloped to defend. I only saw one blue arrow in air, the rest were brown. We continue to advance after a startling victory. Our troops are skilled and certainly not meant to be beaten, for sure.

As we make an encampment in the snowy mountain caves of Scandinavia, I get a note from my officials back home. It informed me that our breakthroughs in science discovery has once stricken the world again. Our scholors are studying a new substance called copper and seeing how it can be used. I close the letter and get some eye shut for tommorrow will be a bigger day...

THe next morning I see a messenger in Viking colors. We capture him and ask what is his business heading south. He told us that he was sent to send a letter to Russia. We took the message and opened it...

It began with a Dear Russia. It informed a cry of peace from the weak Vikings. Though to my eyes thier whole nation is hard headed and it took me a while to agree. After back and fourth of sending this same messenger we come to a conclusion...


THE FIRST WAR: RUSSIA AND SCANDINAVIAN PEACE ACT
This document called the RSPA will inform how peace between Russia and Scandinavia will go about. After years of negotiation our people have finished the last border plan, which is described above a few years ago. Peace will also go about with the following restrictions and regulations;

- If Vikings show any aggression, war will be re-declared.
- Any propaganda shown toward lost Scandinavian land will be prohibited.
- As part of Russian Orders a Palisade wall will be made at the black border to ensure no aggression of pay back to Russia.
- No caravans or anything with Viking nationality may pass the border without a note from the Russian State.
- Same of the above will go for the baltic sea and any shore with Russian territory except the palisade wall will be replaced with shore watch.
- All borders with Russia will be watched for any build up of military even if it is not with us. Do not build up military any where near the Russian Border.
-Finally, Vikings must report to Russia before decaring war on anyone to whom we have contact to.

The Emperor read the news briefs about the events occuring in Asia that the royal scribe brought to him. Sure, there was news about Phnom, China, Russia, and Panturkistan, but nothing about India. The emperor didn't know if this was a good thing or a bad thing. Was it good that there were no major events in India, which could mean that everything is a-ok? Or was it bad in that we were doing nothing remarkable to set us apart from our neighbors? Either way, it appeared that India was the ultimate stealth nation. Of course, the people of India knew nothing about the concept of stealth, which immediately reminded the Emperor to improve education. Also, with land in Asia completely gone, the Emperor looked far to the west for expansion possibilities.

ORDERS:
* Continue work on a wonder, Military Institute of Mumbai. (Effects: +1 army training, +1 navy training, +1 education.) (2/7 now complete.)
* Begin to upgrade education. (1/2 complete.)
* Send the entire Navy on an expedition to the west, to Africa, via the Persian and Arabian coastlines. Colonize Somalia/The Horn of Africa.
* Ban any trade or travel to or from Phnom to try and prevent the spread of the Wishcujk disease into India.
