Just came back to VP after a bit of a break and I noticed that I can't swap tiles from a puppet city to an annexed city. Is this an intended change or a bug? Maybe a save game compatibility thing as I installed the hotfix mid-game?

EDIT: Ah never mind, seems like it was probably a compatibility thing. I just fired up the game as I remembered I was close to puppeting another city and was able to swap the tiles this time. Just used IGE to fix the other puppet city's tiles.

BTW, I've been playing VP on and off for years now and never signed up to the forums...so yeah, thought I should take this opportunity to say thanks for all the great work everybody's been putting in to the best Civ5 mod :king:

Hey Recursive, it says you're a developer of Vox Populi, do you maybe know if this mod is compatible via online play via Steam? I don't want to be a bother, but if it's not possible I shouldn't try to follow these DLC steps and just use an older build from 2018, no problem. If it is possible, all I need is a yes, then I'll do my own research and pack this mod into a dlc and send it to my friend as well.

It's possible, but you're highly likely to encounter bugs, crashes or desyncs. We'd need an extensive amount of debugging to improve MP stability, and even then we wouldn't have the network code so there's a guessing game involved.
 
I can corroborate the raze issue, the popup shows up sometimes and sometimes it doesn't when I capture cities. So you have to go into the city and click the big button there, but that is only for razing. But there is not always a popup upon capture what you want to do with it -- which is a bit weird then since I can't pick if I want to puppet or annex either then. It autopicks annex.

AI seems to favor artistry over statecraft now - even AIs that should go statecraft like Siam or Venice are going artistry over statecraft. There are still civs going fealty, but few Statecraft.

Nope. I still don't get the popup asking if I want to puppet or annex (or raze in the cases where it's an option). It's just auto-picking Annex.

(edit) Correction. I do get the popup. One turn after I took the city. So I have to take it, end the turn, and at the start of the following turn I get the popup. That is a bit confusing.

Interesting but I think it just seems to be the luck of the draw as well as the usual modifiers. In my standard game, 6 civs have taken statecraft including myself while the other 2 have taken Artistry.

Deity? (Policy selection is pretty consistent on deity, whereas on lower difficulties there is randomness at play.)

On Deity, the AI that used to go statecraft seem to be going artistry.
 
Hey guys I’m not getting any notification icons on the right side like dows or lost capital notifications, not sure if this is intentional but how would I get them back? Lol

I found if you save and reload just before taking a city it would work correctly.

Make a github report probably.

I took 2 cities while playing a bit last night (after installing hotfix3) and the popups worked as intended, so it could be something on your end.

This is my first time seeing the new notification in action, and I must say I like it much better. It's little improvements like that which keep this project glorious!

Are you also getting other notifications on the right side of your screen with hotfix 3?
