A Brave New World Part 2

What experience does a nation like yours have in establishing a Democratic Government. The people of Jamaica deserve this from us, it is not about white vs. brown, it is about providing freedom and democracy to its people. It is the oppression of a highly centralized government that your "Empire" would bring to the island that we are trying to stop.

What we care about is the people, and we can assure you the people do not care about all the experience in the world you have. Our government ideas will not be forced upon Jamaica. If they want a democracy then we will help them build a democracy.

The courier, Major Fosco Barese, carried his package directly to the Prime Minister's office and proceeded to wait in the outer office. He sat passively awaiting the call to the secretary to enter the office. His mind began to drift to a recent meeting of some of the highest leaders in the Giardino Nascosto Corps.

"But sir," whined a Colonel that Major Barese had never met before, "who do we side with? Who do our agreements continue with? Do we just call the whole thing beyond-salvage and pull out to see how it plays out?"

Corps General Duccio Toscano sighed loudly and then leaned forward placing his on the polished oak table. "Colonel, you must understand that we cannot call it beyond-salvage. We need their support. The world is changing all around us and unfortunately our leaders have entered into several agreements I cannot discuss here. Individually they are good plans, but all at once they may be too much."

The room went silent and proceeded to ponder the statement and it ramifications.

"Major? Major!" Major Barese shook himself to find the young secretary looking at him with concern. He smiled politely "Yes miss?"

"You can enter now." She smiled back that glad he was okay.

Major Barese got up and went into the office of Prime Minister Fulgenzio Milanesi. He prepared himself for the questions sure to follow the reading of the report.

Major Barese glanced over the room and saw General Benigno Capon the head of the army, the Prime Minister, and the only woman in the room, Armida Pisano, the head of the Fumo e Specchi. This was going to be a very loud explosion. The major hoped the room was soundproofed.

Thirty-three minutes later came the explosion.

"Absolutely not!" hollered an agitated Fulgenzio Milanesi. "We cannot divert anything at the moment we cannot fall behind."

"Sir, with all do respect we are behind and it will only get worse if we do not agree to this." Major Barese sincerely began to wonder why there was no limit to how many times a person could be Prime Minister. He was, like almost the entire military, a Repubblicani Leali; but the Prime Minister was a dunce. He just didn't get it.

The prime minister began to say something else, but was stopped by the soft voice of Armida Pisano. "Sir I agree with the Major, if we do not do this we stand to lose much. We may still be friendly with many of the former Berlin Pact members, who cares what they call themselves now it's basically the same thing, Italy cannot fall under their umbrella again. Just remember how Italy was treated after the war. Recall where we are now and what we are doing now. We have to do this."

The prime minister shut up. Major Barese was impressed. He also quickly began reviewing the Constitution of Italy to see if women were barred from being the prime minister. They were not. Major Barese decided he had a new item to discuss with the officers of the Giardino Nascosto Corps.

CC: Anyone pertaining to the Balkan Crisis

Germany does not want to see more war in Europe. We recognize both Russia's request for stability in the region, and the Balkan states' want for independence when it comes to their own governance. We are willing to host talks in Bremen.

OOC: Because I am leaving for my vacation I am leaving a note on all my Embassy doors. BTW EQ, orders should be there now.

The war has been going on for 6 years.

We have been mobilized during this time, so all costs are half.
593/20 = 30, 93/4 = 23. 30 + 23 + 1 = 54

Wait until you try to do the casualty math.

We would like to apologize for the name calling and bickering we began over this issue. We would like to help support a plan that will bring democracy to the Island of Jamaica.

Specifically:

We would support a Pleblicite in the Island nation. One that is observed by all Gulf Alliance dignitaries. The pleblicite would include options for freedom and self rule as well as staying and joining the Haitian Empire.

If this would be agreeable with you the rest of the Gulf Alliance would be willing to speak with you about the specifics over more private means.

The Olympic Committee, meeting in Copenhagen have determined to announce this year its decisions for the 1916 and 1920 Olympics. In 1916, the 1924 Olympics will be determined and so forth from that point. We are proud to announce the following contenders for the next two Olympics. We are emphasizing on cities which have been instrumental in the creation and establishment of world peace over the past few years with three nominations for each year.

1916

Copenhagen, Danish Empire
Oslo, Swedish Empire
Hartford, Republic of New England

1920

Houston, Texan Republic
London, England
Cologne, German Empire.

The three for 1916 have been instrumental in the establishment and funding of the International Red Cross. That's why they were picked.

the three for 1920 are in countries which have aided in the establishment of peace in Europe and North America, ending bloody wars.

Germany would be honored if the 1920 Olympic Games were held in Germany...but Cologne? May we recommend Hamburg? It is a city which has better facilities to host such a massive event (we will be fine with Cologne though...its just a suggestion).

Also, for the 2016 Olympic Games, we would be quite happy if it were held in New England.

Do Not Question The Will Of The Committee. As for choosing, well, hell, why not. Feel free to post preferences and votes, and if enough people participate, perhaps will go with the vote winners.

It would be New England honor and pleasure to host the Olympic Games in the wonderful city of Hartford in 1916
