"The following is the proposal designed by the leaders of the Socialist Union regarding the expansion of the current alliance system. We believe that specific measures of cooperation are necessary in the economic and technological spheres considering very little progress has been made so far. We further believe that a full military alliance is essential to protect member nations and to be able to promote the global socialist revolution.

As such, we propose the creation or alterations of the following institutions:

Socialist International - The organization will continue to be comprised of socialist political organizations around the world, including political parties, labor unions, etc. and will focus entirely on promotion of socialist agendas in all the countries in the world. We suggest that the group be headquartered in Belgium.

International Cooperative Group - The organization that socialist and other revolutionary states will join in order to receive the benefits of cooperation. We believe that the Group should be headquartered in Mexico and include the following sub-organizations:

Council for Mutual Economic Assistance - We expect that most countries who join the Cooperative Group will wish to join for the benefits of economic cooperation and we envision this body as organizing economic and development projects within the Group to benefit specific members that require aid.

International Research Agency - We believe that research can be done much more effectively if the member countries of the Group cooperate. Countries that are specialized in specific areas of research can take the lead on specific projects and the rest of the Group can contribute to the effort.

Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Mutual Assistance - A voluntary treaty for members of the Group that will bind them with a full military alliance and whose goal will be to spread the socialist revolution world-wide.​

We expect that over time additional treaties, agencies, and organs may be added to the structure of the Group.

The Danish Empire has never been as strong as it is now. We are integrated in a very powerful alliance, that helps us prosper and which we help prosper at the same time. The world looks upon us as the upholders of peace making efforts. It have been Danish people that have given the first steps into procuring an everlasting peace into all the nations of Earth: the Malling-Hansen Prizes, the organization of the Olympic Games, the future meeting in the Swiss city of Geneva... all those efforts, among several small others, that are contributing to the peace in the world, have been done by Danish people.

The prosperity age our great nation is going through isn't going to vanish soon. Our metropoli is completely communicated thanks to the Brosskaber bridges and its railways. Our best scientists and engineers work with many others from the North Sea Alliance to provide us with the most advanced technologies of the world!

The votes were tallied and tallied again. The Repubblicani Leali won, but the surprise was the new Prime Minister, Armida Pisano. The newspapers splashed headlines and gushed over her victory. It really shouldn’t have been a surprise considering the support of the military was behind her and all Italy knew that where the military lead the people would follow, but many could not believe that a woman had been elected.

She was sworn in before a record crowd, her popularity was astonishing. The leftist parties couldn’t even write up anything negative about her as they would be seen as being less progressive than the conservatives. All in all a brilliant result for the Repubblicani Leali; they couldn’t have scripted a better scenario.

“People of the Republic of Italy, look how far we have come!” Cheers erupted from all over Italy at this. After a few minutes, and the people had calmed down Prime Minister Armida Pisano continued. “We have struggled mightily to regain our Nation from the hands of usurpers, puppets, and fools. Many brave Italians perished to accomplish this noble goal, to honor them I ask for silence while the Army Band pays them homage.”

Again the peninsula was quiet except for the broadcast of the Army band as they played Fratelli d'Italia. Almost all Italians regardless of political affiliation had lost family in the struggles over the last few decades. The last notes died out and there was silence for another fifteen seconds while they awaited the next words from their new head of state.

“Italy has suffered long enough. It is time for Italy to raise her head high once more. We are building infrastructure all across our glorious nation, our scientists are working tirelessly to improve Italy, and our army and navy work to guard against any hostile acts. The people have spoken once more and we shall do their bidding. The course has been set and it has been good.” The crowed murmured agreement during the pause.

“We must never waiver, we must never submit, and we must never become complacent as the world is always changing. Italy will not only survive, it will thrive!” The band started playing and the crowd cheered louder than ever. This prime minister gave the people what the last one lacked, a sense of direction rather than simply following the whims of the party. Prime Minister Armida Pisano had a plan and everyone knew it would lead to great things.

The red star represents the 5 fingers of a workers hand. There are also other potential meanings but this was the first.

I'm sure Supermath didn't know what it represented and surely wasn't commenting on how the symbol has stayed the same despite everything being different since 1776.

Indeed, that's why I rather liked the symbol with the Brazilians with the gun and the hoe. THat was rather nifty (without the AK of course).

Rest assured that your relationship within the NSA won't suffer. We are not against socialism that comes to power legally.

We agree completely. Illegal/violent socialism, and groups that support it, are who we are against. The socialist system in England was brought into power through elections in a democratic system...thus it is completely legal.

Also, the fact that England has elected to stay in the North Sea Alliance, rather than join the Socialist Cooperative, which they could have done in a heartbeat, shows that the English are true friends to the Germans, Danes, Swedes, Dutch, Hungarians, and the NSA as a whole.
