NIJERIAN FRONT. Christiansburg, Danish Empire. Fighting between French and Danish forces in the colony of Nijeria has come to almost a close. The French army has been driven out of the pride of the Danish Empire, and the Danes can rightfully at least proclaim a temporary victory. This was not the end of the fighting in the region. The Nijeria First Movement, a new incarnation of the Quit Nijeria Movement, has launched a vicious guerilla campaign against the Danes, calling for freedom. In addition to the propaganda methods of their previous life, the Nijeria First have waged open war and called for revolt against the Danish Empire. They have issued blanket demands, calling for the release of all incarcerated members as well as the immediate evacuation of Danish troops from Nijeria. Several Danish encampments have been attacked and slaughtered behind the lines, as the violence continues to grow.
Casualty List
France: 6 Infantry Brigades
Danish Empire: 14 Infantry Brigades, 2 Cavalry Brigades
TURKISH FRONT. Ankara, occupied Turkish Sultanate. The Turkish Sultanate may have at last found relief from the Italian invasion. Coerced into lifting all tariffs upon Kurdish trade through their nation, the republic of Kurdistan has entered into the war on the side of the Allies, sending in their army to fight the Italians. Though the Italian army managed to make some advances at the start of the year, the heavy casualties and fighting led to a dramatic rise in Axis casualties as the campaign continued. Turkish and Kurdish counterattacks near Adana managed to rout an Italian army, threatening the Axis flank. Another attack in the north soon led to the encirclement of the mountaineer spearhead of the Italian forces, leaving them trapped and without supply. The Allies also managed to gain air superiority, inflicting numerous casualties through bombing and air support, leveling roads and assisting in the destruction of the Italian spearhead. In the northern part of Asia minor, the Italian advance has slowed against determined resistance, which have made the Italians pay for every meter of land they take.

France: 7 Infantry Brigades, 2 A-42 Brigades

COLLAPSE OF MOROCCAN INVASION. Casablanca, Republic of New England. The invasion of England by Scotland and an influx of French troops into northern Africa have led to the collapse of the Allied invasion of Morocco and Algeria. The year started well with English troops moving into the outskirts of Algiers and grievously affecting French supply lines into the rest of Africa. French reinforcements continued to flood in however from the north, until nearly a million French soldiers faced the Allied invasion. The English, being shorn of supplies thanks to the Scottish attack, soon were forced to withdraw under the brutality of the French attack. The significance of Allied airpower showed itself however, and the English acquitted themselves well during the withdrawal to the Moroccan coastline. Heavy casualties were inflicted upon the French army and the English managed to get out most of their soldiers and heavy equipment despite the French advance.
Casualty List
France: 116 Infantry Brigades, 7 A-35 Brigades, 12 PPDA-38 Squadrons
Portugal: 13 PPDA-38 Squadrons
England: 61 Infantry Brigades, 5 Anti-Air Brigades, 4 Anti-Tank Brigades, 12 Panzer IV Brigades, 22 AS-124 Squadrons
SYRIAN DESERT DISPUTED. Riyadh, Rashid Arabia. In accordance with previous claims against the Turkish Sultanate, the Arabian government has annexed the portion of the Syrian Desert previously ruled by the Sultanate. Limited fighting took place between the Arab army and the Turkish garrisons, as the occupiers moved in to control the few urban centers of the region. Initially the Turkish government protested, but has since recognized the Arabian annexation, sparking a series of disputes among neighboring countries. Jordan, Syria, and Iraq have all claimed the Syrian desert to rest with their own sphere of power and influence, and have mobilized their militaries to press such claims towards the Rashids. The Rashid government has stated clearly that they will retain control of the region, despite foreign warmongering.
Casualty List
Rashid Arabia: 5 Infantry Brigades, 1 RADF-01 Brigade
Turkish Sultanate: 3 Infantry Brigades

BALUCHESTAN ELECTIONS. Zahedan, Baluchestan. Elections among the Baluch people have continued to mark an increasingly conservative trend in Baluchestan's politics. The Liberal Party failed to gain any public sympathy this year, putting forward weak candidates and attempting to raise up domestic concerns as major factors. The Conservatives on the other hand managed to win hearts and minds, sweeping with a landslide victory for the executive office as well as Congress. The Conservative Party has vowed to keep the nation strong, pledging to continue a stalwart watch against the threat of renewed Persian imperialism. (+2 Stability)
INDIA CALLS FOR FREEDOM. New Delhi, France. Up until now, Indian independence movements have been disparate and disorganized, unwilling or unable to work together. The Indian Catholic League for Independence and the Indian Nationalist Movement made an unlikely pairing under the leadership of noted Catholic leader, Udham Singh. This union quickly resulted in the formation of the largest Indian political movement to date, and the majority of other groups soon joined in alliance with this great formation. The cries for freedom echoing from St. Petersburg and London were clearly heard throughout India, and Singh has issued a warning to the French imperial government, calling for an immediate referendum upon the issue of Indian independence, at the risk of "consequences of dire proportions." (-2 Stability in India)
RIOTING IN KOREA. Seoul, Korean Empire. Massive waves of casualties and the increasing length of the war has led some people to rally against the government, expounding on traditional virtues rather than though espoused by Christian regime. The outrage over the defeats in Manchuria and Japan have caused further anger, even among the former supporters of the government, and the unusually hot summer bred large crowds and ultimately rioting in the streets. The military was called in to restore order, causing heavy civilian casualties in major urban centers as the fighting exacerbated. Much of southern Korea has been declared to be under martial law as the government struggles to restore control over its population. (-1 Stability, -4 Infantry Brigades, -14 Manpower)
DUTCH AGREE TO POSTWAR INDEPENDENCE. Sydney, Republic of the Netherlands. As independence fever sweeps across New Holland, the government in Sydney expressed a radical statement, declaring that the regions within the Dutch Empire will be freed following the conclusion of the World Wars. This not only includes the Boers in New Holland, but other colonial possessions throughout the Far East. Some have proposed a united single state of the current boundaries of the Dutch Empire, but many express grave doubts that such a union could ever be successful. Nationalists from Indonesia and the other various colonies have stepped forward stating that rule from New Holland and denial of their own local rights for freedom would be unacceptable. Similarly, the Boers have refused to be politically tied to heathens from the north and immigrants in New Zeeland. The failure of the war to date has led many to believe that the Republic will never be able to recognize the independence anyways, as the Allies suffer defeat after defeat on the battlefield.
CASH FOR GUNS IN CHINA. Lanzhou, Republic of China. In an effort to reign in the large amount of firearms distributed among the populace of the Republic of China during the Chinese Civil War and the war with Sinkiang, the government in Lanzhou has put into place a new program. The Chinese have offered cash for any old firearms turned in to government centers across the country, guaranteeing new paper money to any who participated. The mistrust of the government's currency proved a slight barrier to the development of the program, but nonetheless many Chinese people turned in their arms from combat, varying in origin from France to Korea to Mexico to some arms produced in Lanzhou factories. The effort was limited in success not just due to the mistrust of currency, but also the fear of retribution, should inquiries be directed to the origins of some of the firearms.

DUTCH FRONT IN JAPAN COLLAPSES. Kagoshima, Korean Empire. The Dutch in Japan have been faced with a valiant struggle to maintain their positions on the main island. The Koreans' effort to control the seas last year and this year proved successful and with the capture of Vladivostok it became clear that withdrawal of Allied forces would prove impossible. The remaining armies dug in with orders to fight to the last man, which they did with fanatical determination, greatly impressing the local samurai. The Koreans managed to purge Honshu of the Dutch forces after a brutal battle and soon followed with an equally vicious campaign on Kyushu against the Russian Marines. Casualties proved incredibly heavy for the Korean army, though ultimately both Allied powers collapsed under the weight of overwhelming force.
Casualty List
Korean Empire; 82 Infantry Brigades, 5 Mountain Brigades, 4 Artillery Brigades, 1 Anti-Air Brigade, 1 A-35 Brigade, 3 A-39 Brigades, 2 PPDA-38 Squadrons

REBELLION IN JAPAN. Tokyo, Japan. Inspired by the fighting spirit of the Allies in Honshu and Kyushu, the Japanese people have at last rallied behind a single samurai who has pledged to restore independence to the islands. Bringing together the samurai factions as well as the more urban resistance, the Japanese have assembled an impressive host, including a plethora of modern weapons. Some of these munitions came from the shattered Korean cavalry who were easily ambushed and slaughtered in the mountains of Japan. Others came from Russian or Dutch sources as their strongholds in the islands fell. Though the center of the organized rebellion is now in Tokyo and Honshu, some limited fighting has been taking place throughout Kyushu, as rebels who fought the Portuguese now fight the Koreans, tying down numerous brigades in the struggle.
Casualty List
Korean Empire: 12 Cavalry Brigades
Japan: 9 Infantry Brigades
MANCHURIAN FRONT. Seoul, Korean Empire. The fighting in Manchuria seemingly deescalated throughout the first part of the year as the Koreans swept aside the standing resistance assembled by the Russian Federation. Vladivostok was captured by the Koreans, who unfortunately failed to seize the Russian navy, which had fled long before the arrival of the enemy. The advance along the Russian Pacific Coast managed to seize considerable territory with very little opposition. In the west, however, the situation changed dramatically, the Korean army ran full force into massive Russian opposition when they renewed the attack after the passing of winter. The Russians then countered with a major hammer blow against the Koreans, using overwhelming airpower to advance to the east. Most of Manchuria was reclaimed and Harbin has even been threatened by the Allied forces in their successful attack.
Casualty List
Korean Empire: 191 Infantry Brigades, 12 Cavalry Brigades, 9 Artillery Brigades, 28 A-39 Brigades, 12 PPDA-38 Squadrons, 10 PPDA-41 Squadrons, 10 BP38 Squadrons, 4 PBHA-40 Squadrons

Jason, the King
Type: Motion Pictures
Genre: Historical Fiction
Producer: Puerto Rican Paradiso Filming Company
Running Time: 141 minutes
Summary: This New Englander film takes a fictional approach towards the establishment of American monarchies, providing the setting in a fictional eastern American nation. Based in the nineteenth century, it clearly reflects the establishment of the Tennessean and Virginian monarchies, and offers it in a New Englander background. The movie uses a quasi-comedic approach to illustrate the benefits of a monarchy with a supporting democracy. The ability to combat socialism and imperial control stems particularly from the position of a king, raising some serious question over monarchial favor within New England.

SOCIALIST UNION OPENS INDEPENDENT COMPETITIONS. Rio de Janeiro, Socialist Union of South America. With the Olympics apparently on hold with the onset of the World Wars, there is great uncertainty internationally if they will even ever resume. In order to maintain a convivial atmosphere within the Union, even with the continuation of the wars between the Socialist Union and the various northern countries of the continent. Like the larger international games, the Socialist Games have been modeled as a series of events with various athletic competitions of all styles. Due to the ongoing war, the Socialist Union's various collectives have been the only participants in the games, but to sporting enthusiasts, many hope that these will be the signs of years to come and that the Olympic Games will resume once more in 1944 on schedule.

@crezth, I'm sure I've mentioned this before and it is located on the first post, but naval units do not apply in mobilization rules.
@Jason the King, you got the PPDA-38, not the 41, therefore the 38 was produced instead in line with your orders.
@Almost Everyone, A lot of you seem to not realize that tanks require infantry support. You can build as many pretty tanks or other support units as you like, but a lot of them are just going to be turned into scrap if you dont have a good armor to infantry ratio. I had hoped that ya'll would realize that by now, but apparently not. I don't want to name names, but next update I will if it continues, in further effort to gain your attention. To further emphasize my point, each brigade is approximately 54 tanks. Please consider that. If you're problem is that you don't have anything to spend on, troops are not everything a war needs. Spend it on designs, or actual research. Who knows, maybe a war-winning device is around a scientific corner in one of the categories, just waiting for you to invest some money? At very least, the bonus achieved from completing a level of research may very well be worth it to you on the battlefield.
@TheLastJacobite: you did not have enough manpower for all of your spending, so sorry. The extra EP has been banked.
As another note to all players, I've discontinued the discontinuation rule for designs. All designs you possess can be built forever and ever. This is mostly because I discovered that the old way was more work, but also because a limit on what can be built, just because you have new designs, is not as realistic as the new method.
@bombshoo, you didn't really need all that money for that covert thing you wanted. Therefore 3 EP was banked once again.
Ah, for the days when an update outline wasn't a page and a half in Word. At least it's fun, even if time consuming, I apologize for the wait which hasn't happened yet at the time of this typing.
Andy69in has been regretfully dropped from Rashid Arabia for inactivity.
I would like to once more state that not all the events depicted in the AIM chat log from Monday occurred as previously written.
