It is time to end the bickering. Canada does not agree to recognize the state of Quebec, but this treaty can still bring about a peace that all can live by and the people can finally begin to recover. The process of Quebecois sovereignty and recognition will be a slow and long one, but Virginia hopes that reconciliation can at least begin with this treaty.

We simply were correcting the attempted underhandedness by the Quebecois, and if you consider that underhanded ( and by god, we notified yourselves about it no less), then the Quebecois are no better. For had they not sneaked in extra modifications to treaty, we would have entirely willing to sign the treaty, and the peace with it, proposed by Virginia, which is exactly the treaty we signed. Do not be fooled, the Quebecois, not us, are those who hunger for war.

If Canada does not recognize the independence of Quebec, than this treaty was constructed for nothing. Number 6 is a crucial segment. Canada has the mentality that they own the rights to Quebec and that will not create everlasting peace.

We find this blantant lie dishearting to the peace process, and we would be willing to sign that peace proposed by Quebec if both yourselves and your inferior protectorate can assure us that you will not completely disregard the treaty as soon as the ink dries.

Mabye you do, but we don't think it is right or civilzed to intentionally kill civilians, even if you are trying to gain your freedom. Independence would have been given to you free if you had not place these mines. Now it holds a price. When you are willing to pay 1EP in return for the sinking of these ships we will recognize your independence. After years of fighting, this is but a small price to pay. Will you send even more men to their deaths because you are a miser.

So, because the New Jerseyans decide to rise up, we should completly shut down all ship movements on the Delaware. Civilan merchant vessels should be allowed to traverse rivers and the sea without fear of being sunk. If you saw it as necissary to place mines in a busy waterway, it was your responsibility to at least warn merchant vessels. Because of your foolishness, several vessels were sunk, including a Virginian one.

We find it threatening that the leaders of New Jersey kill innocent civilans and would rather see hundreds more people die then pay a small amount of money as an apology for their actions and end this fighting. Obviously, you are no better than the leaders of New Jersey in the past. If you do not wish to pay the 1EP and end the bloodshed, we cannot allow such a hostile government to exsist in independence nextdoor to us.

Does an apology make up for the dead men who now lie at the bottom of the Delaware River. Or the goods that their ships were carrying. Does an apology console the widows and fatherless children who weep for the loved ones they lost as a result of your actions. An apology shows us nothing. Indeed, your unwillingness to pay reparations for these deaths show us only that you are not sorry for it and you would do the same thing again without a second thought.
