Belgium will boycott the games if the Organist scum are present.

We hereby recognize the Republic of China as the legitimate government of China, and strongly urge all foreign parties to remove their troops from that region.

Are these worrying rumours true? You would kill your own father for some measly material possessions? This is the fatal flaw of monarchism.

From Russia
To the people of Transylvania

Please put down your arms; fear not, for Russia will not allow injustices to be committed in a state under our protection. A plebiscite will be held next year to decide whetever or not Transylvania should become a republic. To ensure that none of the voters are intimidated, the plebiscite will be overseen by Russia. I trust that this is an adequate solution to your troubles?

We urge that you call an end to this fighting; more bloodshed will not help bring any more stability to the region.

@EQ, aforementioned IRL issue is not a non-issue. I'm back.

No, the people who have invaded Belgium numerous times, breached every rule of war along the way imaginable, including for example group punishment, the murder of civilians, the destruction of civilian property and the looting of an entire city. And seem to have only just got the idea that nobody in Belgium desires their Absolutist, murdering, Imperialist, scum of a people to cross the border ever again.

That's a bit sad, not joining the Olympic Games for semi-political reasons. While I understand your anger at those who attacked and destroyed your country (not us, fortunately, as my soldiers are all honourable), your presence in the games would surely be a great signal of your recovery.

The Dutch are terrorists, we wouldn't put anything past them.

A note on the Olympics. I'm assuming that nations join unless specifically said otherwise on the thread or in orders.

The Seminole Republic suffered severe economic collapse and anarchy, threatening the stability of the entire region. Occupation is temporary in order to provide security for the united front against Georgia. We will withdraw when stability is restored and the war is over.

We will not hold a plebiscite for the ignorant masses. Any claims of assassination are completely false and are just a convenient excuse for the rabble. The Transylvanian monarchy will remain intact and constant.

From: Alexander Viggo Jensen, Baron of Rønne

In the times of the Ancient Greeks, every 4 years a competition was held between the Greek city-states in the sanctuary of Olympia. Every city-state would send several competitors that would run, fight or throw in order to win glory for themselves and their city. They would then be given a bay leaf crown as a sign of their victory.

During the time the Olympic Games were held, a truce was declared among the cities: no one could break this truce, as the gods themselves would punish the betrayer of the truce, which was something no one would ever want.

Now, in this time of horrible wars and deaths, I, Alexander Viggo Jensen, Baron of Rønne, wish for the custom of the Olympic Games to return to our world, so that this world isn't tainted anymore by the plague of war, so that people will know that friendship and kindness are more powerful than enmity and hate, and, over all, that people learn that the important thing in this world isn't to win, but to participate.

I would like to call all those people that are interested in joining this Modern Olympiads to come to the city of Athens, Greece, this summer and participate for the glory of their nations and themselves in the many sport events that will be held in that time. I would also like to call all the nations of the world so that all conflicts, all the bloodshed, stops to whip our world into submission, and to collaborate so that this new competition becomes more important than any war that might have ever existed.

Signed,
Alexander Viggo Jensen, Baron of Rønne, Denmark

Copenhagen would also like to present its candidacy to hosting the II Olympic Games and to hosting a International Committee that will be in charge of organising the Olympic Games every 4 years.
