The world is still on an upswing from the aftermath of the Great Recession, and many hope that it will continue that way. Economists suggest that with the continued invention of new technologies and industries, the worlds economy will grow further. As before, the total economic changes for the year are listed below:

North American News Report
TEXAN ELECTIONS. Houston, Texan Republic. The Texan elections this year were focused primarily on domestic issues and reform, in comparison to foreign affairs. The Texan people, hoping for changes in government policies towards union and labor, voted en masse for the nations Liberal Party. The liberals have promised to pass further reform and to maintain the rights of the nations working class. (+1 Stability)
KLANNISTS ATTEMPT TO SEIZE POWER IN TENNESSEE. Nashville, Tennessee. The Tennessean government was viciously attacked this year by paramilitary forces of the Ku Klux Klan. The Klannists attempted to seize power, proclaiming a new nation of Tennessee in union with Georgia for a greater American nation. The standing military of the government was fortunately able to suppress the rebellion, but only after several months of bloodshed. A Tennessean newspaper has published alleged evidence that the Georgian Klannist government was responsible for the coup attempt, hoping to secure complete dominion over Tennessee. Massive anti-Georgian rallies have been held, some even calling for war to avenge the deaths caused by their attempt to overthrow the government. (+3 Stability, -36 Manpower, -13 Infantry Brigades)
FRANCOPHONE GATHERING. Winnipeg, Metis Republic. In a smaller version of the events of the 1925 Great North American Fair, the French nations of North America sent delegations to Winnipeg in the Metis Republic. A hockey demonstration as well as other events were held for the benefit of all attendees. The most significant event however was when President Savauge was injured while giving a speech to a large gathering of Quebecois. His speech was about Quebecois tolerance of the Canadian government and peaceful protest over violent methods. The Quebecois called him a traitor and coward, and stones were thrown, including one which injured the President. Local police forced the closure of the Quebecois booth which led to further mockery of the Metis nation by underground Quebecois newspapers.
CANADA UNVIELS NEW WEAPON. Toronto, Canada. The Canadian government unveiled their new flying contraption, the biplane or as it is officially known, the Oliver Make Number One. This craft, based on principles as determined by the Oliver Companys test flight a few years ago, is many times smaller than even the smallest zeppelin. It is piloted by only a single person, and many doubt that itll be much use in combat. Critics state that the Plane is far too small to pose any threat to a zeppelin and that they would be suicide in any long term flight pattern.
NEW ENGLAND STANDARDIZES MARINES. Boston, Republic of New England. The army of the Republic of New England have announced the completion of new doctrines and training which have dramatically reformed the marine corps, until recently a half-hearted part of the navy. The New England Marine Corps are said to be the finest soldiers within the New Englander military, trained in diverse combat scenarios and island warfare. Many of the marines new weapons and tactics are being kept as highly guarded secrets, as these elite troopers make up a strong part of the nations growing military and imperial power.

MILITARY SEIZES POWER IN PARAGUAY. Asunción, Paraguay. The Paraguayan elections this year were bloodily postponed by new developments. The army of Paraguay, concerned about the actions of the previous government in aligning with the communists, determined to take matters into their own hands. The army has seized control of the government during the electoral process and ousted the previous regime. Though the loyalists attempted to hold things together, they were soon defeated by the better trained and equipped regular military. The new military regime has denounced the hold government and rallied a large part of the populace behind it. They have vowed to defend the countrys new empire in Bolivia and Paraguay from the threat of socialist destruction. (+2 Stability, -12 Manpower, -7 Infantry Brigades)
BELIZE ELECTIONS. Belize City, Belize. The nation of Belize suffered through a vicious election campaign this year, which nearly tore the country in two. The Liberal and Conservative parties faced off on numerous issues, and clearly hoped to achieve power. The brutal campaign between opposing candidates left many unsure about the quality of the government. To make matters worse, several Conservative campaign rallies were attacked by supporters of the Liberal government, and the conservative press accused the government of plotting it as political intimidation. The Liberal Party won in the end of the season, but many suspect vote tampering and some have called for a recount. (-2 Stability)
HONDURAS ELECTIONS. Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The elections in the nation of Honduras were dominated by ongoing disputes over the occupied nation of El Salvador. Some political leaders have called for the direct annexation of eastern El Salvador, but others have stated that their independence must be garuanteed. Unfortunately for the security of the region, the nations Conservative Party has won the election, promising to annex the eastern part of El Salvador. The Guatemalan government has warned Honduras about any such aggressive activity, promising military action should they attempt to annex El Salvador. (-1 Stability)
VENEZUELA ELECTIONS. Caracas, Venezuela. The Venezuelan Moderate Party coalition collapsed this year to the dismay of many within the country. The Moderate government has led the country ever since the ousting of the Socialist Party. Disputes within the coalition leadership soon led to once again the splitting of the political scene into conservative and liberal factions. The Liberal Party, newly reformed, won the election in the landslide, portraying the conservatives as warmongers. The conservatives hardly helped their position by warning against possible Colombian aggression in a potential future war. (+2 Stability)
FAUX CUBAN ELECTIONS TURN DEADLY. Havana, Cuba. This years elections for Acturo Pierre were supposed to be quiet. The standing presidents name was the only name on the official ballot, allowing for a quick and simple choice for all Cuban voters. This proved to be unfortunate, as it seems a large number of Cuban voters voted for an underground liberal leadership. These write-in ballots were collected and all those deemed to be responsible were jailed. The accidental shooting of one of the leaders of this move sparked major riots within Havana, and martial law was soon declared. The government has stated that order has been restored, but it is believe that major damaged was caused across the Cuban countryside. (-4 Manpower, -1 Infantry Brigade, -2 Stability)
BATTLES OFF JAMAICA. Kingston, Empire of Haiti. Naval forces of the United Nation States of America clashed not with one, but two powers this year over the fate of the island of Jamaica. First, another major convoy, with massive naval escort was sent from the Socialist Union of South America. A large part of this force were smaller submarines, many of which sunk in rough waters before even reaching a combat area. More were sunk by New England picket submarines and destroyers, which caught the submarines running on the surface. The South American surface fleet then was confronted by a united UNSA task force. Unlike the previous expedition, which turned away when confronted, this fleet fired a warning shot, demanding that the ships vacate the coast of the sovereign peoples republic of Jamaica. The UNSA ships refused, and the SUSA fleet fired. The ships of the SUSA almost all missed their targets, and the return fire from Haitian and New Englander fleets was devastating. With the almost instantaneous defeat of their navy, the ships attempted to flee, but were soon sunk or apprehended by the UNSA navy, this being the only point when some UNSA ships were sunk by resisting soldiers and volunteers on some of the transport craft. A mere week after this event, the UNSA task force was met in the north by a Georgian fleet sent to demonstrate strength in the region. The zealous Georgian commander, hearing of an overexaggerated defeat of the UNSA by the communists, vowed to finish off the New Englander navy. His ships were destroyed nearly as quickly as the SUSA armada, though they did manage to sink some smaller UNSA ships. The UNSA nations have continued to warn against further aggression against Jamaica which would be met with similar force.

European News Report
NEW DEVICE DEVELOPED. Roma, Republic of Italy. Italian researchers, working independently of most industries have developed a revolutionary new machine which calculates figured. Though extremely large and expensive this new device allows for mathematics to take place at entirely new levels of research beyond all previous possibilities. The new computing device has found its way into laboratories and universities across Italy, aiding in scientific endeavors. The Italian government has commended the inventors in their creativity and achievements.
BULGARIA ELECTIONS. Sofia, Bulgaria. The Bulgarian government has held their elections this year, and the reigning party continues to dominate over all contenders. Radical movements to the left and right have been shouted down in the press, which is firmly controlled by the conservative backers of the King. The Kings Conservative Party has managed to keep control of the government, handily winning the elections. Press and government have condemned Russian agreements with Greece, stating that they were caving in to the threat of violence and that Greece should have been punished for their meddling in the Russian Imperial Protectorate.
SERBIA ELECTIONS. Belgrade, Serbia. The humiliating military encounter with Greece last year was brought to an end by Russian payment of reparations to the Greeks. This has left a lasting mark on Serbia which gained little of what it hoped for from the war effort. This has been followed by a minor recession within the nation, hardly improving the situation for the Moderate coalition running the country. The conservatives, backed by the monarchy, have pledged a new order in Serbia, and reform of the country. They have spoken in favor of the lisists, which have recently been denounced in Russian popular culture. The people have rallied in support of the government, which claims that it is clear that Russian power is weakening and that the true time to part may soon be at hand. (+2 Stability)
VIOLENCE IN IRELAND. Belfast, England. The English government, sending its military forces en masse into Ireland for the first time this year, met with some minor resistance. Overall, however, the English have offered tolerant rule, much more than expected by the Catholics. Strict rules for respecting Catholic property have been issued to the army, a more lenient approach than that of the previous Ulster government. Some assets of the Catholic Church have even been restored to the Churchs control. This has led to several attacks by Protestant militias, which have claimed that they were betrayed by the English government.
DEAL MADE IN BALKANS. Athens, Greece. The Russian and Greek governments completely bypassed the Serbian regime in securing the details of a treaty to end the conflict in the region. The Greek government offered a plebiscite to the Albanian people on independence, which was heartily rejected. The Russians in turn paid massive amounts of compensation to Greece, which has joyously spent the cash, further basking in their military prowess and political influence.

OTTOMAN ELECTIONS. Ankara, Ottoman Empire. The elections this year were hotly disputed as the reigning Committee of Union and Progress was devastated by a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Pasha. The Mustafa Kemal government has done well in running, but have met with many troubles following the election. Though they gained the largest amount of seats, they have received no majority in executive votes or in the legislative branch of the government. The effective collapse of the CUP let the Peoples Party as they are called win under much dispute. Various other parties, including the remnants of the CUP and other forces have officially disputed the election results. The rising fervor has erupted into riots, as the new government sends military troops into Kurdistan. The defeats in battle have further exacerbated the situation at home, which grows increasingly violent with each passing week. (-6 Manpower, -3 Infantry Brigades, -2 Stability)
PALESTINE ELECTIONS. Al Quds, Palestine. The elections within Palestine proved to be much more tranquil than those within their larger Ottoman neighbors. The Palestinian people, comfortable with the ongoing status quo of the situation with Germany, have once again elected the Conservative Party into office. The prosperity and tranquility brought to the region by rising Jewish immigration and tourism have led to newfound wealth. The Palestinians displayed their gratitude by continuing to support German protectorate status. (+2 Stability)
KURDISTAN REBELLION. Mosul, Kurdistan. The Kurd resistance won several decisive victories this year through unorthodox tactics. The Ottoman army, prepared for a conventional front war, met no Kurdish front, and instead suffered irregular attacks combined with some regular actions. Though the Ottomans would move in and take territory, they would soon find Kurdish positions where there had previously been none. The Kurds frequently encircled and destroyed Ottoman units which remained isolated from eachother due to the harsh climate and terrain. Anti-tank activity, mimicked from the fighting in China, led to disgrace and disaster for Ottoman tanks which moved in. The Ottomans have secured no territory, forced to withdraw troops due to military setbacks and problems on the home front.

YEMEN CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE. Sanaa, Yemen. The Yemeni government was recognized as an indpenedent national regime by the German Republic this year. This was the result of failed negotiations for autonomy within the German Imperial Protectorate. The Yemenis have vowed a prosperous new era for their people and regime, heralding that a new age may soon be dawning for the removal of all imperial powers from the Middle East. (+1 Stability)

ISSUES IN SINKIANG. Urumqi, Sinkiang. The government of Sinkiang announced the end of the anti-Islamic purges in their country this year, stating that the situation has been resolved Tennessee-style. The government has announced that there is no more Islam within their borders. It has been confirmed that all Muslims have been exiled from the country into Afghanistan by force. They were paid meager amounts of money for their land, which has been officially nationalized by the Sinkiang government. They have vowed that Islam will no longer have a toehold in the purified China. (+5 Stability)
FIGHTING IN CHINA. Lanzhou, Republic of China. Fighting seems to be slowing down in China as the republican government secures more and more territory against the communists. The communist military, faced with overwhelming numbers and odds, have halted all their offensives in favor of fighting for each scrap of land. These tactics have badly bled the republicans in their advances, and this has taken its toll. The Republicans have been halted just south of Yancheng by the fifth communist defensive line, while in the south, they have secured control of much of the Peking region before being halted by a desperate communist defensive line. In the far south, the warlord of Guangxi has at last been deposed, not by the republicans, but by a French army which landed, much like they had way back in 1904. The French defeated the Guangxi military without much effort, as the force scattered before it. They have occupied the region directly, harshly cracking down on the region. This has been a vicious effort, as many Frenchmen felt cheated with a lack of true combat. Photographs of destroyed villages and slaughtered Chinese men have been shown with celebrating their horrific slaughter of the defenseless people. Republican authorities have been outraged by these actions, and Dong Feng Rong has been met with massive criticism for inviting French imperialism once more upon China. Some have demanded that he immediately resign for his approval of the slaughter of thousands of Chinese by his French allies.

OLYMPIC COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES 1936 PICKS. Copenhagen, Danish Empire. The International Olympic Committee has announced the nominees for the 1936 Olympics this year. This years events are scheduled to take place in a North American nation, as the 1932 were selected within Europe. Three cities have been picked and the committee is in session to determine the suitable location for the Olympics. The standing choices were reviewed as stable and secure locations, unlikely to be embroiled in war in eight years. The first choice is Baltimore, within the Virginian Empire. The second option available is the city of Savannah, within the nation of Georgia. The final option for the committee is the city of Providence within the Republic of New England. The worlds sporting community awaits the upcoming decision eagerly. (works the same way it did last time, anyone can have one vote)
AMERICAN CUP. Charlotte, Virginian Empire. The Charlotte Football Club have continued their devastating winning streak this year, by yet again winning the American Cup for football. The Virginian team defeated the Boston Football Club in a game which was frequently interrupted by rainfall. The final score of the game was listed to be four to three, in the Virginians favor. At the time, the brash new team of Charlotte seems to be nearly invincible against all those who oppose them on the field.
EUROPEAN CUP. Oslo, Swedish Empire. This year has seen the entry of Sweden into presenting a suitable football team. Despite the well displayed performance of the Oslo Football Club throughout the year, they failed to achieve victory in the final and most important game. The Oslo team was defeated by the well respected Paris Football Club, which once more made its way to the top of the charts. This victory in Sweden has restored vigor in the French team, which has had lackluster performance since 1925. The final score of this years game ended around two points to one with the Parisian victory.
SOCIALIST FOOTBALL LEAGUE. Rio de Janeiro, Socialist Union of South America. The dirty communist countries continued their mockery of the proud traditions of football this year by insisting that they do in fact have an actual organization. Though this is believed to be communist propaganda, since their low mind power and ignorance prevents them from actually playing sports, some competitions have taken place. Needless to say they have been definitively more clumsy on the field than those players of capitalist countries, allowing for much laughter from real people. It is believed that the dirty Reds from Argentina defeated the filthy communist bastards from Rio de Janeiro three to two this year.
