However, recent events have thrown this rhythmn off, and Serge Sauvage is likely to try to dissolve his own government and hold a new election without treaty-breaking foreign intervention.

Get your history right. Canada declared war on Quebec because they refused to recognize my independence. Secondly, Canada is not officially an ally or even a protectorate of Virginia, I do not see why you must intervene in matters that do not concern you. And thirdly, you have invaded a protectorate, I hope you know what that means.

1. Quebec is not even recognized by many nations to be independent of Canada. Virginia and Canada still consider Quebec to be a breakaway province, led by opportunistic men who took that chance to declare independence from Canada when civil war broke out.

3. Because Canada is an ally, these matters do concern Virginia.
Furthermore, if Quebec were to look outside their unimportant rebellious territory, she would notice the broader war in which New England and Virginia are tightly allied.
