A maximum wage?

And the Premiership doesn't??? Have you been watching it this year?

In the Premiership TV revenue is split evenly among all the clubs, so in the end no club is left out in the cold in terms of money they can use to buy new players and such. So you end up with 5-7 clubs that can compete for the top honours, and these continue to change every couple seasons.

In LA Liga you have 2 big teams that dominate everything - because they get far more TV money than all the other clubs. It's pretty much 2 huge clubs and a bunch of minnows who have no chance of winning the league.

Big difference.

Yeah very big difference. The three dominant EPL teams look like they mightn't even get out of their Champions League groups this year. Two almost definitely won't and one needs an away win. Brilliant league.

La Liga has 2 teams that are amazing and dominate the rest of the league. I'm not sure I would call that "the best" unless I was a fan of one of those 2 teams.

Eh. Valencia and Atlético Madrid (and arguably Villareal and Sevilla), would be a shot in most normal leagues most years, I'd think. Would anyone be brave enough to say they couldn't win the EPL (particualrly if Valencia stopped selling all their players...)?
