When I try to install 1.97 over RoM 2.91 is says, "You must have RoM installed before you can continue. Continuing will cause errors." I have Rom 2.91 installed and I selected it's file. So what is wrong. Thanks in advance.

Will the extra leader pack for RoM still work with aND?

Likely you selected one folder to shallow or deep. Make sure the path in the installer is something like this

"...Beyond the Sword/Mods/Rise of Mankind"

I am using Custom Game - and I have winning problems aswell! And I have not chosen Mastery as a winning condition. But I can see that it is in the Requied Folder. Will the Game crash if I delete that folder upon the start of my next game?

I highly recommend that users don't modify anything in the required folder... it's all required for the game to work correctly. Deleting it will break your save, and won't fix the problem.

No, because there is no Extra leader pack that works with RoM 2.91 yet.

That is the folder I selected. And for the second question, oh. I tried installing it anyway and got some XML errors. I can list them if you want.

Upload the A New Dawn.log file (located in the base of the RoM folder).

It is an invalid file, but I copied it. It says it installed to the desktop, but I deleted it from the mods folder and tried again on the desktop.

Okay, here's as much help as I can give you w/o being at your computer. The install throws the warning screen when it can not find "woc_installer.jar" in "Rise of Mankind/Assets/Modules/". Either you have manually removed it for whatever reason, or you are installing to an outdated version of Rise of Mankind that did not have that file. If you check and the file is there, then it would be an installer problem. Check the version history files in the base of the Rise of Mankind folder, do they say Rise of Mankind 2.91 at the top?

It says 2.91. And it does say it's missing the woc_installer.jar, but I didn't do anything with it.

The only thing I can think of left is this; what is the path to the Modules folder? Make sure it is NOT "Mods/Rise of Mankind/Rise of Mankind/Assets/Modules".

The only other thing left is to upload screenshots of the folder layout of the Rise of Mankind folder, the Assets folder, and the Modules folder.

Me and friends tried 4-man multiplayer game of 1.73 release. Unfortunately we ran into save game corruption issue.

Background: one of us has some unknown issues with civilization that make running ROM/AND on his computer unreliable (sometimes it just goes OOS mid-games; also sometimes it crashes during map loading). Usually he's able to reconnect after OOS and we can continue playing. Also today he was on an unreliable mobile internet connection.

At some point during the game he went OOS. So he disconnected and tried connecting back -- his game crashed (which happens often enough when he tried to reconnect without restarting the game). However after restarting the game and trying to connect he crashed again. We decided to save the game and try loading it. Unfortunately at this point we discovered that saved game became unusable -- attempting to load it would reliably crash the game.

I'm attaching the archive with the saved game (saved after the OOS guy has disconnected) and all autosaves. The saved game and last autosave crash. Previous auto-saves seem to load normally. Hopefully it will help in debugging.

Please let me know if there's any more information you need to help with tracking the issue down (btw, we've had the similar issue with 1.73beta2; 1.73beta3 seemed to work okay, but we didn't play it much).

@remake20

Everything looks correct, it's just odd that you lack the woc_installer.jar file; it's part of RoM 2.91. What XML errors do you have?

@Solf

Thanks, I look into it.

It doesnt look like its in the correct directory?

Is it in the same folder as AfterWorld, Road to War, i dont see them listed there?

It was in the mods folder, but then I moved it to the desktop and tried again. Oh the mod folder, it's in the BTS folder. RoM by itself will work fine I just can't get AND to work. I will put the XML errors here in a little bit.

Please note: I have included this in the bug tracker on sourceforge, but was unable to include any files over 256k, so I am re-posting here with the attachments.

Game crashes at savepoint BC-0771. Unable to determine possible reason at this time. Version 1.73 official.

I did try removing the latest tech I had researched (City Planning), but that did not prove to be the culprit. I am still attempting to find the culprit in the saves. What I want to know is if the problem is reproducible outside of my machine, or if it follows problems from before which are unique to different user's computers (which turned out to be a problem with a particular building). I will update this post if I can find the reason for the crashes.

Scribbler, thanks for the save. I found the CTD bug, and fixed it. I'll release a patch tomorrow afternoon that will be save compatible and fix yours, and a few other problems.
