Here's a Darwin Award waiting to happen...guy in my hometown just got arrested after a search warrant raid on his house. He was charged with:

Felon in possession of a firearm.
Possession of a modified fully automatic firearm.
Possession of meth for sale
Manufacturing of concentrated cannabis products without a license
Possession of illegal firearm sound suppressors
Felon in possession of body armor
Credit card fraud
Possession of a controlled substance while carrying a loaded firearm

Now, that's a laundry list of charges that collectively indicate the guy was running a pretty intense illegal enterprise out of his house. The kind of enterprise you expect someone who has already experienced the justice system to know needs to be operated on the down low. Now for the interesting part...what lead to the warrant?

Repeated calls from multiple neighbors reporting that he regularly took it into his head to go out in his suburban back yard and fire guns into the air.
 
You won't find Ted Nugent doing credit card fraud (you'll quote me on this in a few years, probably) or possession of illegal narcotics, even if he posts videos of himself shooting SMGs in his back yard.
 
A father and son have been arrested and paraded in front of the media in bad 70's TV "space suits", after convincing a businessman to buy a copper plate for $213,156 (£157,600), which they claimed had "special properties" after being "struck by thunderbolt" and therefore gaining the power to pull rice towards it.

They had further assured the businessman that the plate, which they called the "Rice Puller", could be sold to Nasa for around $5.5bn (£4.1bn). They coated the copper plate with "liquid magnet" and small iron wires to try to fool the victim (?).

I do not know what is more weird:
  • Why would NASA want a rice puller?
  • Where do the space suits come into it?
  • Why would someone capable of running a buisines fall for buying a bit of copper plate for 200K?
  • What is the Inter -Border Gangs Interrogation Square?

Inter-Border is Indian English for cross-border, and that's as sure as I can be of anything in this matter. Which border… probably state borders.
 
If you can get a rich idiot to buy a hunk of magical copper from you for $200,00, then the government should give you another $200,000.

I suppose a moderate proposal might be for the government to let you keep $100,000 and to fine you the other $100,000 and to then proceed to gift these latter $100,000 to someone.
Like, say, an Afro-Polish bisexual student with a disability.
If one cannot be found on short notice any person who doesn't have $100,000 may do.

But yes, returning the money to the...well, what you called him... appears to be somewhat suboptimal.
 
That is such a profoundly WASPy was to deal with family disagreements that it's kind of embarrassing they're called "Rotondo".
