Well "impossible or difficult" is a pretty wide range. You'd have to use both the words ignorant and stupid to describe the minds behind this position. This is indeed rightwing nuttery, and the Obama camp and liberals everywhere couldn't have gotten a better campaign gift short of Romney admitting to being a practicing pedophile on live televison

anyway, I have no idea who these guys are, but they seem to share his level of knowledge on biology....but in a country as big as the US it's only logical that you'll find people who agree with a position, no matter how ridiculous it is.

if it weren't so tragic, it would be funny how many qualifieres he puts ahead of rape to make it 'real' rape...as if a large part of rapes weren't really rapes to begin with

Bottom line being, whoever wins, your son or daughter, in a shower may be viewed with sexual interests.

Mark my words, the GOP outrage at Akin the last few days was 100% fake.

If Akin doesn't step down the very same people who were saying he was a terrible misogynist will be sending him money and falling all over themselves to "forgive" him. Every internet conservative warrior who was distancing themselves from him will realize that it was all the lame-stream media's fault once they realize that senate control depends on him.

So go ahead and pretend that Akin doesn't represent American conservatives. This is one Godless liberal "kool-aid drinker" who isn't buying it. Akin is the GOP now.

You guys are going to be in charge of the country soon. I hope it's everything you dreamed it would be.

Since he is not going to drop out, they will go back to supporting him when the furor dies down.

For one thing, his stance is identical to the republican stance on abortion - he just used a rather poorer choice iof words.

For another, they aren't going to cede a crucial senate seat by failing to back someone who hates abortions.

That's not saying a lot. I've only ever met three creationists in the flesh and that's because they were JWs coming to my door.

In spite of the number of things I WOULDN'T stand by that I said back then, I stand by that. Rapists deserve death. When I said "Rape being an excuse to kill" I'm talking about killing innocent people, obviously. You guys know me well enough to know that.
