Alaska Would Be More at Home in Russia

Alaska is too valuable to sell back to the Russians.

Yes, it has wildlife that is too valuable for other nations to drill their way through.

I've read an interesting article from Washington Post. Here it is:

Well, I think this idea is good ;)

Hilarious! This guy talks all about how it's an economically great idea, but then forgets how it would be completely unconstitutional to sell a state to another country.

I say we sell Puerto Rico. The trade benefits don't outweigh the massive expense to keep it up.

:nono:

They are US Citizens, trade benefits are irrelevant. If they choose the path of independence (and frankly I do think they should have to choose soon between full Statehood or independence), that is one thing, but we must never, EVER, sell the land out from under our brethren.

No, make it a state. Then they'll pay taxes.

They (rusia) had a fort here and traded fur but that's it.

Yeah, even Spain had been more territory in Alaska than Russia.

I think it is a really bad idea. The only country that could belong to is Canada. Besides, Russia wouldn't think twice before drilling oil from Alaska. Screw the landscape, drill, drill and drill... that's what they would do.

Alaska is a US state.

Washington DC can't sell it to anybody as much as Brussels can't sell Spain to Morocco.
