Alex Jones & ilk, who will they blame?

A friend of mine way back in the day, who was a founding member of SpWW (SPit on White Women), would tell you that it has nothing to do with any sort of physical type. Google string: Eddie Murphy foreign women. I don't know if his attitude changed as I haven't seen him since he defected to the Philippines circa 1990.

Is that... someone in OT?

Any man/woman who doesn't want to be challenged intellectually or be on equal terms with his/her partner is immediately suspect to me. Just get a fkn dog.

Spoiler :
submissive women are more boring than the romantic comedies they you have to endure

Bah! Try being intellectual with a lawyer you've been married to for over 30 years
and see how far it gets you.

Sometimes you just have to stand your ground.
When I was caught eating cold spaghetti out of a tin with a plastic ruler,
I just stared right back at her until she sighed and walked away shaking her head.

There are two groups of people: conspiracy theorists (of whom I unapologetically categorize myself as), and the Alex Jones camp. While there is some overlap; since, after all, there are certainly conspiracies the Alex Jones camp believes, some of which I even agree with--that does not make the two camps one and the same.

Take this latest scandal with the GOP abolishing the independent ethics panel, and Trump calling them out on it. Alex Jones supporters call that Trump being all wonderful. I call it a conspiracy in itself: oh wow, look at Trump, he is so ethical, bashing the GOP's abolition of the ethics panel. Yay Trump.

You mean it was all staged up? You may be a great theorist indeed...

It's just classic publicity stunt. GOP creates a strawman problem (which this time is abolishing the independent ethics panel), Trump denounces it and takes credit for it. As if the "independent" ethics panel wasn't strawman already.

Ummmm....no. The "haven't seen him since 1990" I thought would be a dead give away. When I said "way back in the day" I was referring to a time before OT. Before the internet, actually.

I know it can be hard to imagine (even for me, and I was there) but there was life before the internet.

Yeah, we know the history: big bang, time before the internet and present. You must be some kind of time traveler just like Trumps kids:

I think the photo of the Trump kid and the Triceratops they hunted is doctored and fabricated. Oh no, my conspiracy theories at it again, I must be going crazy.

Am I the one among few who have some faith in His Trumpiness? I believe he will deliver - in fact getting off from the cold war mode is already huge...

What, exactly, do you believe he will deliver?

It will be amazing, very amazing...

Seriously it doesnt sound much at first but we need a change. I am hoping for certain openings which will allow for the truely progressive elements within the US and the part of world connected to it for taking possesion of democratic processes and development of society. We have seen how bad things can go up till now sliding into the WWIII and rise of the totalitarianism and corporate fascism and I hope large enough segments of population realise we dont need the practical experience of destruction and enslavement which is what this path has to offer.
Coming back to the ideals of the founding fathers and creating better society on the principles of liberty and cooperation is what I am hoping for. America has not yet shown its full potential. Lets make it great again and greater than anything before.

Germany was in WW1 mode when they "needed a change." And change they got: they went into WW2 mode.

Glad things improved there.

NOTHING stays stagnant in time. Its either progressing or going backwards...

I don't think many here, at least, would disagree with that as a good vision for the future, but I'm not seeing where that vision connects with anything Trump has done or said, either during the campaign or since. What about him makes you think he can usher in such an era? Because I look at what he's doing and see the opposite of that.

What I see is a man capable of playing the system by its own crooked means. The system is rigged and you have to bypass some of its self-preserving knots to rebuild it. Trump has shown it can be done against the will of the majority siding with the system.
You know what Alexandr the Great did to untie the Gordian knot -- he cut it in half with his sword -- he was brave enough to challange the rules and got what he wanted.

It's Alex Jones. It's InfoWars. They believe every conspiracy there is, including the ones contradicting each other. Why would anyone try to even figure out what these nut cases believe? They don't even know what they believe!

Well, I was just thinking your description could very well fit the profile of a particular poster...

I think it's more likely that they will lose faith and think he was just some sort of new type of plot by the New World Order to keep them pacified, or that Trump started out okay but got corrupted, or threatened into compliance, or something

They'll probably conclude that Trump was kidnapped and replaced by an evil body double.

It saddens me that we live in a world where both of these are equally likely outcomes.

eating cold spaghetti out of a tin with a plastic ruler,

I don't see the problem here.. Is that not something people in a relationship do? Have I been doing it wrong all this time?

NOTHING stays stagnant in time. Its either progressing or going backwards...

Is there something inherently bad about going backwards? What about slowing down, how's that sound? To be honest, I think clinging onto some ideal of progress, be it scientific, economic, or societal, is what brought is into a dilemma in the first place.
