Stay away from the comments: stay well away...
Dammit, you made me look.
Why? What's wrong with the comments?
I especially liked the term "Muslim anchor babies".
Quattara Depression linked by pipelines to the mediterranean sea to increase rainfall in the northern sahara.
What does the green represent, elevation or vegetation?
I think elevation. You can see the countors of elevation in Sinai and where else you'd expect to see high vs low lands.
I don't understand. How do pipelines linking the Quattara Depression to the Med increase rainfall in the northern sahara?
Which lines are the pipelines? The thin ones or the wide ones?
Haha, figured out after a while its a regular old topographic map, when I indeed at first thought it was vegetation (though I did think it seemed rather optimistic in it's effects). That's what I get for trusting reddit I guess.
Still, an interesting idea though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sahara_Sea
It would certainly change the climate of the immediately surrounding area.
Live tracking of thunderstorms.
Slightly different type of map coming up
