But not Australia because Australia has no past.

That's really not true. For someone so inordinately proud of Polish achievements in the Second World War, I am taken aback that you would choose to overlook the Australian contribution to the Allied war efforts.

But Arakhor, Poland was sacrificed for Great Powers! They of resistance for 6 years!

New Zealand - not even on a map of the pacific

I don't think that map has Australia either, though. The large island is more likely to be New Guinea/alias. ;)

(anyway, that would be in line with the size of Thailand/Malaysia there, and the map obviously aims to be accurate scale-wise ;) ).

Past starts when all witnesses are dead. My definition for use in this thread.

As God is my witness, your Honour, there is no such thing as the past.

World War 2 ain't no past, because vets are still alive. Says me, myself and I.

You are aware that the Australian national myth is pretty much entirely built on the other World War, right?

Blame's on Churchill for that one.

And their performance on the French front was far better, I believe.

Basically: Anzacs diggers battlers Gallipoli sport Gallipoli Ned Kelly Anzacs Don Bradman sport Anzacs Kokoda Anzacs Anzacs sport mateship Gallipoli meat pie Anzacs sport fair go Gallipoli Anzacs sport Anzacs

And their performance on the French front was far better, I believe.

And the Arab front. We got the Turks back for Gallipoli by pushing them out of the war in Syria.

You forgot to include 'Anzacs onedaywellbeattheallblacks penalcolony Gallipolli Anzacs kangaroosbothtailedandtailless Gallipoli fairsquaredinkum Anzacs' in there.

onedaywellbeattheallblacks

Only relevant east of the Barassi Line.

Besides we don't really care about other countries. They're really far away after all, as shown on this accurate chart:

penalcolony

We don't talk about this.

kangaroosbothtailedandtailless

I've seen like one kangaroo in the wild (up close that is).

90% of the population is urban, and I'm willing to bet a fair proportion of the population have never seen a wild kangaroo.

America and New Zealand are on the same level as Europe and Canada? I thought we had something special!

Also, Italy and Greece are neither in the Third World nor in Europe. What gives?
