AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

I've found a new bug. Since 675 (maybe 674), the quotes are all with english voices. I don't think i need to say that i play with the french version ;)
 
Forcing the AI/autoworkers to use "Chop" instead of "Burn", when it becomes available, might be at least a step forward, so they don't lose the extra :hammers:

or maybe teach the AI to spam jungle camps and woodcutters? (until lumbermills come around)

Nothing has been changed in that sense, probably an issue with your installation I think. I'd suggest to reinstall, clear your cache, delete civilization.ini and retry. Let me know if it helps.

Definetely something easy, Diplomatic Victory will be displayed only when it's supposed to starting from next revision.
 
Where you'll frequently see the burn jungle behavior from auto-workers on un-improved tiles is in the mid/later eras when the workable tiles for a city expands into the 3rd ring due to culture spread and a previously "out of range" tile suddenly is now usable by a city. If such a jungle tile is in that range and you have some/all workers set on auto improve you'll see them beeline to those tiles and try to burn it away to the base terrain ASAP, which is unfortunate as JCs are very useful improvements even in the later eras. AIs of course use auto-workers and so any territory of theirs you conquer after the mid-point of the game will usually be a vast wasteland of bare tiles as they chop/burn any forests and jungle away.

I see it *all* the time though. Every era, first ring and second ring, resources on top or bare terrain... I've never once seen the Chop Forest/Jungle action be performed by an AI. Not once. They'll always burn it to make room for whatever they're planning on putting down :confused:
 
In the latest version, when using the Civilopedia out-of-game, every building is showing Team Wonder (-1 allowed), even buildings that are not Wonders. This is only out-of-game.

Forgot to mention - all this while, iirc during setting up a Custom Game, there are no tooltips explaining the victory conditions. I disable most of them, mainly because I don't like being stopped by a win I didn't see coming. Would be nice to know what to look out for.

The tool tips for the Victory conditions disappeared a long long time ago. Might have been when Afforess added in the Mastery Victory. Probably disabled the display with the extra Victory condition. It's been that way in C2C also.

I'm getting the -1 Team wonder on Both the National wonders and the Buildings menu.

they all say, just running the mouse down the list on hover, that they allow +1 National wonder, -1 Team wonder.

Or +1 Building
-1 Team wonder
For buildings menu.

World wonders, doesn't mention anything about team wonders at all.

After installing the later version I seem to be getting a random bug where a newly built has infinite promotions to spend.

lots of units queued 1 out of every 3-4 built seem to have the bug


Edit: Turns out I forgot to clear the cache when updating. Now working fine.

Was going to bring this up but I see Vokarya already has. I too am seeing this when glancing over the pedia for changes and additions, all the buildings have the remark concerning "Team Wonder (-1 allowed)".

SVN 675, cache cleared, havent' had a chance to start a new game. :)

My mistake in the dll I've uploaded. It will be fixed in next revision.

Fixed in the next revision. When Bronze Working allows chopping, burning becomes obsolete and won't be possible anymore.
 
"Save Error: Failed to compress game data". A google search for that got dark real quick. Apparently the save got corrupted? The save file itself doesn't seem particularly mangled but hey what do I know. App.log mentions the error but without any other info it seems useless.

I doubt my game was that large; I've read posts mentioning people with 50+ cities, which is probably just under the sum total of all civs' cities in this particular game world. I don't suppose it's salvageable? Was doing so well pitting my neighbours against each other too, ugh. Been stupidly overwriting saves too so I don't have any other save later than yesterday - a whole Saturday's work gone. Bleh, I don't feel like slogging through the same fights, I guess this is it for that map.

SVN 675, Large map, Lakes, Revolution, Barb world + civs + generals, 10UPT, can't remember what else.

I've found a small glitch: The "TECH_INSURANCE" use the same icon as "TECH_WATERWORKS_NEW". In fact, the insurance tech use the icon of canals. It should be an economy related icon i think.

On a side note, it's not a bug, but the "Your mine has been exhausted" event happens horribly often! (to me at least)
Where in the xml can I tinker with it's chance to happen? Or is it in the dll?

Did you check the autosaves? (they're in ...\Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Saves\single\auto). Maybe you have a usable save in there, even if you lose a few turns (depending on how often your autosave is set to save)

Still, I had a sneaking suspicion I applied the SVN update wrongly (pasted over the existing mod folder, didn't delete any .ini or empty the cache) when I moved from 674 to 675, although I did start a new game.

This time for r676 I uninstalled Civ4 entirely and deleted all my saves, then reinstalled from scratch. Everything brand new this time, hope that does the trick ;)

It should work; always delete previous revision and never copy-paste-overwrite.
Also I'm sorry I've just release a new revision with some fix ;)
