Anyone else offended?

Again, your utter and total ingorance of all things military, including leadership training, isnt something that one is likely to forget...ever. He was a Captain in the Navy (one rank below Rear Admiral) and in service for 23 years.

He commanded a training flight squadron and under his leadership the unit won its first ever Meritorious Unit Commendation. Thats an exceptional leadership feat.

Again, the only person not keeping up with the facts here is you.

These are all words that don't mean anything to swing voters or me. The fact that you have to explain everything in paragraphs is evidence that it won't translate at all to the common man.

The fact that paragraphs were needed only means it need to be explained in detail to some one who doesn't understand it. That would be you. That would also be the same person who said that it didn't mater after it was explained. Now eit5her you are willfully ignorant and dishonest or you are trying your best to diminish its meaning because it far more meaningful then you'd like it to be.

The common man understand the military workings of leadership. You don't. Putting your own ignorant understanding and saying it is the common mans is really grasping on your part.

I think the 'common man' is able to keep up with what I am saying...unlike you.

Offended? I was cheering and laughing. That speech was awesome!

Do they? All these supposed leadership accomplishments attributed to McCain mean what? Nothing to the common man especially considering how long ago they were. I still don't understand why what he did in the military was amazing aside from what his supporters would have me believe is important. Again, I admit i'm ignorant of what a unit commendation is, but so is most of america.

What do those awards mean Mobboss? Are they anything like graduating 3rd from last in your class? everyone understands that. 40 years ago and unit commendations just doesn't fit into a sound blurb well.

It is an award given to military units that display exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding service, heroic deeds, or valorous actions.

And it takes excellent leadership in order for a unit to achieve one.

Now, does the common man understand what I just wrote?

Yeah, that the man now lead by his wife once was a leader.

Community organizing, and not political talking points, are what bring about improvements in areas that desperately need them. So to attack community organizing as non-serious was the most shockingly stupid thing anyone has said recently.

What 9/11 and Palin essentially did last night was mock anyone who has ever tried to make their community a better place.

What were the specifics of it? not because I want to know but because i want to illustrate the point that Low Info Voters aren't going to be wowed by this kind of thing.

What's heroic from ejecting after being hit by a surface to air missile?

His military experiance extends beyong Vietnam. Have you ever commanded anything? Has Obama?

Has Bush commanded anything besides his cocktail? Remember all those companies he ran that failed in the 80s?

Basically, military awards are given for killing people. John McCain spent 23 years "serving" America by using taxpayer dollars to kill people. I have never and will never vote for a murderer, be they democrat, republican, or liberal, unless they killed only in self-defense (the only wars that includes in the past 100 years are WWI, WWII, and maybe the 1991 Iraq war). Serving in the military is not an honourable career because you are declaring your unconditional support for the government. The government should not get your unconditional loyalty until and unless the government in turn pledges unconditional loyalty to you first. Last time I checked, the only people the government is unconditionally loyal to are rich people, and even they have to pay money to both parties.

Just to help you get your facts straight:

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudy_Giuliani:

Giuliani served in the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, eventually becoming U.S. Attorney. He prosecuted a number of high-profile cases, including ones against organized crime and Wall Street financiers.

Giuliani served two terms as Mayor of New York City, and was credited with initiating improvements in the city's quality of life and with a reduction in crime.

Rudy wasn't the mayor of New York City. He was the mayor of 9/11.

Jesus, it aint about experience, its about judgement and mental acuity. And McCain comes in last of the 4 unfortunately cuz she's probably closest to me in ideology and I would like for the GOP to start acting conservative instead of talking conservative.

All this nonsense about experience (at what?) is one reason why we have professional politicians ruining the country. McCain's experience - he helped the Bush administration lie us into war and never came clean (that makes him dishonest in my book), he's the Republican Hillary. When Obama goes into Iowa and promises huge subsidies for corn, he's showing his true colors - and it was McCain who said no to the subsidies! Hell with it...
