Great prank. I thought something was going on a couple of days ago but when the big annoucement appeared on april 1st, I knew it was a joke. Had some chuckles over all the amusing threads.

Locutus deserved lots of the credit. He first made the proposal 11 days ago. We discussed it here in the staff and thought this could be fun, so we collaborated with Apolyton to make this possible.

All those mod resigning and revolt rumor that started 3 or 4 days ago, and the CPC forum superslug started were part of this elaborate prank.

Yes. That was all very nicely played. Pluto dropping that small little hint in the unit request thread. Then me unknowingly falling into the trap and posting a thread about us merging, then Rik playing innocent perfectly when I PMed him about it. And any thread getting deleted. And the fights between the mods was perfect. yesterday I thought it was all a joke but even then I had doubt in my mind. And this morning I thought for sure this was no joke. And was ready to start helping out CPC. Bravo. Bravo. Althrough I relized it was a joke when CPC closed for a lawsuit. Over the top on that one.

I must congratulate you on an excellent prank TF. While I suspected this of being a prank the entire time, you guys managed to plant that seed of doubt in the back of my head, so much so that as of last night I was beginning to think it was real. You guys certainly put a lot of effort into this entire thing.

Here is a question for TF: How do you plan on topping this next year? You've set a standard, and now we expect you to exceed that standard.
