Asian Leaderhead Pack

The Indus script predates the Aryan invasion by as much as a thousand years - assuming there ever was an Aryan invasion at all. Most of the evidence for an invasion is being discredited these days. It may turn out that the Harappans were Aryan themselves, though personally I feel it is more likely they spoke some sort of proto-Dravidian. Sadly the only way we'll ever know is if someone deciphers the script.

Yes, Asoka was around in ancient times, I just thought a Harappan style ancient era would be cool.

Anc: Harappan King
Med: Buddhist/Hindu King
Ind: Mughal king
Mod: Maharaja

It doesn't quite work with the formal time periods, but it does cover four very important periods of Indian history. And people could rename him to suit.

I don't think you should mix Ashoka with Harappan style. It's just a completely different culture.
This is what I think he should look like:
Ancient: Hindu king
Medieval: Mughal king
Industrial: Maharaja
Modern: wearing a Nehru style suit

About the Harappans, the Finnish scientist Asko Parpola has claimed to have deciphred at least parts of the Harappan script. His theory is based on the presumption that the Harappan language was Dravidian (i.e. cognate with languages spoken today in southern India). You can read more about his theory here.

I dont like to do counties like that, like america or brazil or canada, they are fun for a mod, but they are too new for me. I did make a filipino polynesian head

What a shame... but OK. Beggars can't be choosers, or so they say!

You could have King Kamehameha for the Polynesians, although he was only king of the Kingdom of Hawaii.

I'd say you should try Kamehameha. He's much more well-known and there are pictures of him.

I'm not sure, but I think his title was either "Ali'i" or "Nui". Ali'i is the highest rank in Hawaiian society. And I think "Nui" refers to king...

Here is some info and pics: King Kamehameha

There wasn't really "Polynesian" empire. The closest there was to what anyone could call a "Polynesian Empire" was the unification of the Hawaiian Islands under Kamehameha. The islands of Polynesia are so far apart that each island was virtually on its own (though there was limited contact between them due to the expertise of Polynesian navigators).

You could stick with Tangaloa as suggested earlier, if you want to be more broad. He may be a mythical figure, but then look at Firaxis's leaders: Gilgamesh (a mythical hero) for the Sumerians and Joan of Arc (a Christian saint) for the French. :crazyeye: Who knows? Maybe Tangaloa was an actual person? After all, a lot of rulers eventually were deified in one way or another.

both gilgamesh and joan of arch I dont like as leaders. I dont want to make a god a leader of polynesia just because civ 3 cant do a day of research on countries, or went out of their way to add a female ruler. "Tuimanua Elisara" or Tu'i Manu'a is the somoan emperors or belived to be. With very little research Im afriad... he is much like the dali lama or yamato family. appartly the Tu'i Manu'a have a herrity lighter skin than most somoanas. I guess like the habsburg jaw. Really I have only found 2 webpages that talk about the Tu'i Manu'a. Most website on polynesia are about surfing. But I will look more into later on

Looking good. I think the mustache is a must.

I think the back of his hair needs to stick out a bit more too. Maybe so that it starts appearing from behind his ears rather than below.

Another thing to think about was that Asoka was famous for being a champion of Buddhism. Best not to make him look too Hindu. (This image is fine, just something for later eras).

Now that you mention it, yeah the turban is a bit small.

If you changed the colour of his clothing to orange/yellow he would look more like a Buddhist king (which I think is really important at least for the ancient era):

IMO the Mughal era is too late to be called Middle Ages, I'd prefer it to be industrial but then I can just swap the files around for my own setup :)

In the middle ages he could be decked out like one of the Rajput:
