I know. I was not exactly being serious. I'm joking half of the time I post at CFC.

I watched this movie the other night, the sweetest thing, after getting over the whole 'its big' song (anyone whos seen the thing will know what i mean. It said something about joking 50% of the time. I cant remember it because by that time id become so bored that all i could do was start planning revision in my head.

Exactly, if you count the words at CFC I'm sure I use more words than 95% of the humanity. That 5% (which is more than you might think) consists of politicians, some lawyers, TV and radio presenters, and some teachers.

The statistic isn't pointing out who speaks more during the course of a day, but instead who uses a larger vocabulary (if I'm not mistaken).

Now I find that even harder to believe...

I'm quite sure that most males use a wider vocabularly than "oh no she didn't" and "oh yes she did".

Then it's even more wrong! A lot of men are intellectuals (i'm surprised in English this has a negative sound, here it's a honor to be called an intelectual by someone), a lot are writers, presenters, a lot more than women! I have no idea who made this up, but he/she didn't do a very good job.

Now that you posted here (though I realize I think you posted before...) I've got to ask you a question, always wondered: are you a "girl", or do you just use a weird combination of a sarcastic title and avatar?

Well the word "woman" gets used more and more, which weirds me out, but at any rate I'm female. I'll get some evidence up in the Members Photos thread one of these days when I can get over the "oh my god no there's three hairs out of place in that picture it's horrible!" self-consciousness that afflicts so many of us.

Intellectual does not have a negative sound...when someone wants to insult a smart person, they usually use another word like nerd/geek.

I thought so too, but we had a thread at CFC here about that, and a lot of people seemed to associate intellectual with something bad, in one way or another.

No, my parish church does not have a Singles Ministry .

Also, this question is more geared to a woman or girl who owns a cell phone. Why on Earth, especially on dates I have noticed as an observer, do they have a cellphone attached to their ear and seemingly just ignoring their date while talking to the person on the other line?

IMO, that is kind of rude, especially in a dating seen.

That's why you shouldn't follow the stereotypical definition of Dating. People somehow force the idea that both people in a dating scene should act (literally - ACT) a certain way in order to not be interpreted as rude. Why, after I've just met a person, should I give someone something they don't deserve? If I'm bored than yeah, I'll talk on the phone. It's not rude, it's responding to a situation acordingly, which I can say will always give you better results than just "trying" to be something you're not supposed to be (aka extra polite).
Don't be afraid to let the other person know where you stand, subtly, not verbally. Girls do it all the time. And the ones that do often get chaced.

PS: That's not to say that I don't reward them for good behavior. But you also never want to reward a girl for bad behavior. If she does something that annoys you next time just make it so she feels that you are now more disinterested in her after she has performed whatever she did. But at all cost you should not get angry as a way to message your disinterest.

I agree 100%. If your relationship forces you to act differently than you would in your daily life, you'd want to rethink your priorities. I mean, suppose you're with a good friend and he does something really boring, wouldn't you just tell him? Then do it with your date also. You can spin it in a sarcastic/humouristic way... if she takes it badly, then she was not worth it - I mean, come one, she's boring AND she's not funny?
