Ask an Anarchist

There was an age of religion chaos iin Roman Empire too, statues and old temples got overturned and destroyed , it was pure chaos !

btw. I like "No gods, no masters" You should have took a picture of that girl ! ;)

I am part anarchist You know, I dislike social contract . Was it Benjamin Franklin that said "Give away a little liberty to gain a little security and You loose both !" ?

Anarchy is good ! :smug:

Christianity is the perfect religion for empire. Turn the other cheek, be a good sheep, let the rich get theirs, your reward is in heaven, etc. That's why the Roman empire became the Holy Roman Empire.
I mean, I'm not sure where one would start pointing out all the things wrong with this statement.

That's why the Roman empire became the Holy Roman Empire.

Actually, it didn't. There was no true and direct continuity of institutions other than pretense and the fiat of the Vatican. The Byzantine Empire was a much more direct successor state to the Roman Empire.

So ... what the Antichrist is up to ? :mischief:

I err on the side of caution these days.

I for my part make it a point to feign hobbies, interests and political opinions by clicking through stuff I don't care for and giving it a random amount of watch time, in order to confuse the living hell out of big algorhithm (tm). I'm lucky he doesn't read my posts here. My YouTube recommendations are all over the place though, but that's a small sacrifice. Maybe it's even a good thing, definitely reduces my CTR

You only think it's random....:mwaha:

As someone who suffers from a chronic mental illness, how would I get the medications I need in an anarchist society ?

@caketastydelish Anarchy accepts all behavior as normal, so no meds are needed. :D

You just have to go pick them yourself , just take it , no one is gonna blame and or chase You for it . When they are gone however You'll just need to make them or ask somebody else to make them . Do You need them that much , what do they do to You anyway ?

If those answers are serious (and from an anarchist point of view) that is definitely not a good sign.

you synthesize them yourself in your laboratory, I suppose. Ironically enough this would be illegal currently, with patent right and regulations for medication etc, meaning you are either forced to buy it or suffer. I don't know exactly how difficult it is to produce, say, a generic anti-depressant. It's probably decently challenging, even if you do have all the needed materials and equipment. I know some.. pills are rather easy to produce at home and check via a testing kit.

Seeing as how people make their own aspirin from wood bark, and how there's tutorials for literally anything you can think of, I suppose it would not take long before the first homebrewed meds appeared. I cannot vouch for their safety or purity, but I cannot do the same for Chinese nor Indian pharmaceutical companies, nor for Bayer fwiw

“Tutorials” is this a given that the internet and YouTube will continue to exist?

My understanding is that under anarcho-syndicalism certain syndicates would specialise in producing particular products. In this case, the hope would be that some synthetic chemists will choose to produce the drugs that are most needed by the world.

It is really hard to make most modern drugs. Some can be extracted from plants (like aspirin), some can be made by relatively simple fermentation (like penicillin), but most require what is effectively a pharmaceutical factory.

very interesting question raised there. as long as waybackmachine and archive.org still exist, there's basically thousands of libraries and a sheer infinite amount of links to access. I think, since those websites were kinda "free" to begin with and had a lot of volunteer work, I can see them being syndicalized. people would also probably want to pay/trade for it. the big question here is if the infrastructure keeping the internet up as we currently know it will still exist, highly doubtful. I am not knowledgeable in the matter, but I could probably imagine old server farms like aforementioned archive.org to be revived as kind of visitable digital libraries where you actually physically go there and enter the server archives of archive.org and search manually..

yeah, I figured. pharmaceutical drugs are pretty advanced compared to what we've started out with, like you mentioned with penicilin. oh well, at least we'd probably have opium back and real coca cola

Benjamin Franklin also said another good line I like, though a much less known and quoted one by him, given my TRUE Centrist tendencies (and not how extremist on both wings of the spectrum LOVE to portray Centrism), "I am a Radical Centrist, and everyone to Right or Left of me should be castrated!" :P

What's going on here. Are the local anarchists too busy working for the man to answer the questions of the people? :D
