Aspiring Rapper's MAFIA- Game Thread

technically I did suggest kingmorgan as a possible informant

then again I suggested practically everyone as a possible informant
If anyone else is confused - Legato/Lohrenswald/Zack did not know Xym/KingMorgan was scum and vice versa. Explains why there was no hammer the previous day.

This is the part where I whine about game balance in a game we swept... BUT I feel that the setup favored the town and we caught a few lucky breaks. So so many resistances to our kills (with limited ability to counter), and on top of that we did not know the fourth member of our team.

If one or two of us died the house of cards would have fallen and our ability to kill at night would be seriously hampered.

Hooray!

I'm sorry for being as aggressive as I was against newcomers to the forum, but you were the ones that made most sense for me to vote. I am rather bad at the game.

I hope town isn't too frustrated

also happy birthday Choxorn

Eh, you were great. Seriously. Zack and I created two worlds where both of us couldn't be on the same team, and you were the oddball in-between.

KM, I'd like to know your thoughts about the game, because yeah, wow, you were a plot twist for us.

One thing this finally resolves for me is that my previous general strategy of playing the squeaky clean town as scum was indeed overrated. It's born great dividends in the past, but it's perhaps not the ideal general strategy unless circumstance provides.

As Fleeing Coward (Newyn) told me, innocence isn't the end game.

On a different note, yes you were played Cuth, but you were the object of the strategy rather than the seduction. I left you alive for useful reasons, but I never planned on persuading you to my innocence.

You'd just hosted a game I'd won as mafia, and I don't buddy on day 1 when the town can just lynch your 'friend.' Wheels within wheels and all that.

KingMorgan, who did you think the scum were? Wonder if you were any better at finding us than we were at finding you (though that is setting the bar pretty low lol).

Thanks Pizza.

I just knew Lorenswald was scum early as KM v1, just never got a chance to push the lynch. As Zym, I worked out Legato must be scum, but I had BL and LL as the remaining 2. I was suspicious of Zack, but recently he has been total town and it didn't seem to fit with what I thought, so well played. I also figured 4 for mafia team.

Frankly, after all those really stupid arguments about how people aren't playing within their "meta", I'm rather glad to see that most of them were simply designed to get the town lynched.

Zack, you yourself said I had won awards for good town play, clearly implying that my crappy town play suggested that I was scum, let alone (as Legato said) the mindboggling furore over whether I legitimately rolled polyhedral dice or not.

and fwiw I did not actually know anyone I was pushing was town or not

if you look in our QT we're constantly worrying that we are pushing to lynch our unknown teammate

and? it's a pretty logical line of reasoning, even if incorrect in this case. you WERE playing exactly like you do as scum, idk why you're so affronted at being lynched for your d1 play.

I don't think anyone took the dice thing seriously

visor and kennigit, both townies, picked up on it first. I just formulated it into a concrete case. Sometimes there are good cases on townies. I don't think your lynch was that bad compared to some of the others saw here.
