Aspiring Rapper's MAFIA- Game Thread

Idk, I think it can be mafia behavior. I know I've definitely gotten mad as scum because people wanted to lynch me for what I perceived to be the wrong reason(s).

Yeah, but he has flown off the handle at the first dig, generally more a townie thing

Although now that I think about it, that frustration was probably mostly unleashed in the mafia QT while I tried to stay calm in thread.

Oh, fair point. Now that you mention it, I did something similar in my very first game. I still haven't really read Lassie as scum based on his other posts, though, as I feel the reasoning has looked quite genuine. I'm pretty sure that the frustration comes from a place of expecting effective town behaviour to be a certain way and not seeing that from the majority of players here, hence all the low key shade about lurker culture or whatever.

I agree here. I very often get upset as scum for this.

And I don't particularly see the frustration as townie-motivated frustration.

At that point I'd rather you lynch me because at least there's plenty of information. Just lynching an inactive is pretty pointless, and a shot in the dark. At least give him another day and see if posting picks up or something.

I'm of the opinion that it's rarely ever a town move to want your own lynch over someone else's, especially in a game like this where most people are vanilla. You're the only person you can ever be 100% certain is town, why would you want to lynch a player you're 100% certain is townie?

+10 scum points Cuthillius.

Visor is literally howling. Look at him.

We get it, Visor has a wolf avatar and you think that makes him scummy.

Lassie, I know I tend to post more and get more engaged as scum. I've seen many others say this. Not a tell, at least not generally.

You were close to the top in posts in the only game I've seen you as scum despite dying halfway through, and you've mostly been moderately active when I've seen you as town. You're close to the top in this one. That doesn't necessarily mean you're scum, but some of your behavior in your large number of posts looks kinda scummy.

Lol and now go do an actual ISO on me, and tell me I'm scum, with more than just this weak theory about how you don't like that I actually feel sure about someone being town.

I'm probably the most obvious town here, and that's not just based on knowing that I am - objectively, I'm the one doing the most solving, sharing the most thoughts, reading the thread and doing ISO's the most.

If you think that is scum indications, then I'm sorry, but I can't help you. Unless you've somehow missed those things in your calculations of my chances of being scum, I'm suspicious of you even reaching this conclusion, that I'm the best vote out of 26 players, where a big bunch have done jack :) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :) else than excuses.

This post struck me as being pretty scummy- I'm really not liking the "I'm objectively the most townie because I'm doing things and others are lurking" conclusion, because I've seen plenty of scum play fairly actively and come up with reads and thoughts to share. Or what about that thread Cass linked where Sushi apparently posted 26 pages of posts as a mafia? I also just don't really like the whole tone of this post, its way too big of a reaction to one vote, it's dismissive, it's pretty rude and it's generally just a strange tone to take after being voted once. Also, like Zack mentioned, Lassie is very defensive of Sushi, not quite to the extent of Cuthillius's interactions with Cass but still way more defensive than I'd expect if they were both vanilla townies.

And as an aside, I'll do an ISO on you, as soon as someone can tell me what that actually means.

There's really no reason for this edgy attitude of yours. Welcome on my ignore list(hopefully there is one).

Your attitude is at least as edgy as his.

"This message is hidden because Zack is on your ignore list."
From experience, I know it's for the best to ignore people with childish attitudes.

If you're ignoring him, why are you making such a big deal about it?

Let me just follow your progression here:
You first state that it's scummy of me to respond to Cass' post, claiming I wasn't asked to answer it.
I then explain to you that you missed the part that she actually did ask me to answer.
You then vote me

@Cuth let me get an answer on this now

You posted that question 8 minutes ago, why are you in such a hurry to get an answer about it? Do you expect Cuthillius is always going to be online every time you ask him a question?

Yeah, but he has flown off the handle at the first dig, generally more a townie thing

He could be a frustrated townie, sure, but like Zack and Cuthillius I'm getting more of a scum vibe than a town vibe from his frustration.

Unvote, Vote: Lassie

I'm not sure that people understand the concept of a random vote. I rolled 1d100, divided it by four and voted for KM based on that. Would you prefer a spurious reason instead?

Just one question I have about this- There's 26 players in the thread that aren't you. 100 divided by 4 is 25, not 26. So, how did you account for that? Did you pick someone not to vote for? Were you willing to vote for anyone but made a few people less likely?

Wait, are we supposed to be not voting Lassie because of his/her reactions? If committing bannable offences proves townieness…

Parroting other's reads, saying what's been said many times, being misinformed on people's opinions, Murska having voted for you...

Wait, Murska voting for someone is a sign of that person being mafia?

Wait, Murska voting for someone is a sign of that person being mafia?

Not at all. it just helps resolve Murska a little, with the goal being to figure out the alignment of the most people at the same time in the same time period

What does ‘resolving Murska’ even mean?

*snip*

Glossy may be Town, but lololol at you if you read her Town based solely on post count and effort. This is the game I just finished with her - she won -on involvement and effot- as the last of 3 scum when the other 2 were taken out before D2.

*snip*

I think the main differences I can see in her play is that as far as I recall she was less antagonistic in her wolf game. Here she seems to actively pursue anyone and everyone. She was more buddying people in the other game, or at least that's how it looked for an outsider.

She was still posting a lot. 650 posts over the course of 2 weeks. Not as much as here, but still a lot. This means very little to me though. If it's glaring then sure, but I don't have a large reference sample, so I'm not going to clear her on post count. I feel like attempting to do so is a bit strange as well.

As far as wolf meta goes she's far outside of it, but I'm judging from only watching one game with her. At this point I have no intention of voting Glossy D1. Perhaps not ever.

I'm sorry I wasn't around for much of yesterday, and I think I've scrapped my recap strategy, because I find that I'm noticing only the most prominent posters and the mid level and low level activity tier I'm just all muddled on. Going to attempt to do ISOs from the bottom up, provided that my wrist doesn't start acting up again.

Parroting other's reads, saying what's been said many times,

The thread has a pretty high activity level, it's kind of hard to notice things before someone else more active than me notices them first. I'm not even usually that original in a not-super-active game, at least not on day 1.

And as an aside, I'll do an ISO on you, as soon as someone can tell me what that actually means.
I think it means you take all of someone's posts and analyze them. Which I'm not going to do for the 100+ posts Lassie has made on d1. Hell I wouldn't even do it in the endgame for that many posts.

You appealed to my authority when voting Lassie and now Murska's for the choxorn vote. Doesn't matter who, matters why. Don't follow Zack because he is Zack, follow him because you think he makes a good case.

also I will give one schrute buck to anyone who makes an accurate, updated tally that isn't a garbled mess
