Between a nuke and hard place

@trexeric: We'll sell you some guns, just like we sold to the Gonzites!

@TD: But those airship thingies cant operate away from the poles...

He likely has a water based fleet as well. how else would he import goods or export.

In a dark room somewhere...

Agent A: Do you have the poison, Agent C?
Agent C: Yes, but is it such a good idea to poison their water?
Agent A: That is exactly what Agent B said. Hand over the poison before I exterminate you as well.
Agent C: But Agent B is not dead.
Agent A: Exactly. Now, hand over the poison.
Agent C: Very well. Why exactly must we fight a secret war while the superpowers of Esandtee fight to the death, or we fight the Gonzites?
Agent A: Thank you. Now, about your question, all wars are secret. It is just how the leaders of said war handle their secret. Most leaders just go out and tell stories of the war to the world, but others do not. The secret wars are often more important than the public wars. Now, agent, get back to your post.
Agent C: Where is my post today, Agent A?
Agent A: Today you will be patrolling the border of Section 47-V. You will be under the command of Agent W.
Agent C: Yes, sir.

Somewhere between Section 23-S and Section 23-T...

Agent H: Did Agent C deliver the poison? I remember Agent D saying something about it coming in an hour an hour ago.
Agent Q: It should be coming. Agent F, did you deliver the message to Agent A?
Agent F: I did so two hours ago, and I have not received a message in return.
Agent Q: I hope that is not an omen or anything. TEC cannot afford to lose another leader.
Agent F: He'll be fine. After the poisoning, it should only be a matter of time until the enemy retaliates and all hell breaks loose.
Agent H: Then we need to get this over with. If the poison is not arriving anytime soon, I will take it upon myself to personally kill all of the enemies people.
Agent F: We could always release the nuclear waste.
Agent Q: Good, so do we agree? If the poison does not arrive within another hour, it shall be taken upon ourselves to exterminate the enemy.
Agents F and H: Agreed.

Yes, this is leading somewhere.

WEEK 2

The front has moved little, and the lines have fossilised. No major actions have been undertaken by either side.

However, a strange disaster has occured. A detonation has destroyed a small town in the Thanyou Empire. It is known to be a den of terrorists, so it is possible they caused the explosion. However, the government has closed it off, and without further information scientists are calling it a recurrence of the strange "Natural Atomic Explosion" phenomenon witnessed centuries ago in Daedwartia.

State Sec: Interesting. If this was as they say, a "natural nuclear explosion," then how may other towns are just time bombs waiting to be set off... Either Thanyou has found a way to cause uranium deposits to spontaneously detonate, it was terrorists using convectional explosives, thanyou nuked the place, or its really was what they said. Pray to Tamb it wasn't the last one. That town has only a minor deposit.

Daedwartis: Investigate this fully. it is one of your primary concerns.

War Minister Trer,
It is not every day that I bear horrible news, but this might be one of those times.
The Gonzite Tribes have driven us to a small peninsula on the southeastern end of the second largest island in the Civilized Archipelago. They completely destroyed our entire fleet, eliminating our means of escape. We are in a truly dire situation. If you don't send reinforcements, the entire 9th Regiment will be subject to extermination.
Salutations,
Commander Girimault

*Electronic beeping, some radio static*

"Transmission received, tell him that he is way out of line and that he and his armies are now officially exiled"

"Will do, sir"

Radio sat back in his chair and rubbed his temples, Stonewall had launched his entire nuclear payload at METY, against Radio's wishes. Now Stonewall was officially exiled, taking a portion of the country with him.

"****"

The Grand Daedwartian Union Declares that it recognizes only Radio Noir's Government in Noirland, and that Supporters of Stonewall are to be considered traitors to his government and the Grand Alliance. Also, Daedwartia puts forth a request to our fellow members of the Grand Alliance to invite Noirland into its numbers. Also Suggests it be renamed The Global Defense Alliance Organization. Attacking without orders is one thing, using nuclear warfare against orders is another. We also request that Stonewall be declared an enemy of humanity. We have put a 10 million [insert name of whatever the strongest currency is] bounty on his head, with charges of several war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, to be captured ALIVE. We demand a special Tribune be made to try him and any others who have committed or are suspected to have committed such crimes be made at the end of the war.

WOOO WOOO WOOO WOOO WOOO WOOO...

The alarm buzzed over Gayo Haben's head as he rushed towards the General's office. Around him, the hive of activity that the Central had become was devolving into chaos as the people rushed towards the bunkers, not stopping to save anything of the Top Secret papers that covered the desks.

The door the the General's office hissed open as Gayo approached, and he pushed through the panicking crowd until he had reached the General's inner office. He opened the door, and saluted the man at the desk. "General! Launch Watch has detected several missile launches from the vicinity of Noerland. Most are headed towards Thanyou. However, Launch Watch has also registered several detonations along the Border and thousands of missiles on tracks throughout the world. They're Thanyou, sir."

"Well, what are you waiting for?"

"The Launch Codes require your signature, sir." The General quickly turned to his computer terminal.

"Comupter, General 1, Voice Activation, Code Alpha Launch Sequence."

A metallic voice replied, "Verified. Initiation, Code Alpha Launch Sequence. To abort, press 1 in the nest 5 seconds."

The abort was not pressed.

And as giant mushrooms of flame blossomed across the Border, and began to bloom in the south, thousands of missiles hurled themselves into the atmosphere.

Do you have any problem with us nuking the Thanyou? We have 3 nukes, and we want to test one of them.

Daedwartis: So that concludes-(SDW(Strategic Defense Watch) Phone rings.) Yes Commander. Understood(hangs up).
Daedwartis:....(picks up red phone #3) Commander: Launch all of our nuclear weapons at their intended targets in Thanyou. [note: we did not target any nukes at thanyou territory on Centralia. wind + being former Daedwartian territory being why.] May Tamb save our souls.

approximately 100 MIRV caped missiles are launched at Thanyou territory globally. The entire population has retreated to our vast interconnect vault system. it coincidentally is our granary and where 90% of our food is grown, as it doesn't absorb our horrible air's toxins into it down their.

A lone operator fiddled with the controls to the big board. Cameras from space, from the ground, from the sea, from the air, and a map of the world, these were all feeds that showed the ongoing nuclear exchange.

Meanwhile, behind him, the entire Southern leadership watched intently.

Most were laughing wildly as they ate buckets of popcorn and sodas.

WEEK 3

nuclear-explosion.jpg

As Week 2 of the Second Epic War drew to a close, the bogged down front lines were loosened. Severely. When a rogue Noerland general launched the nation's store of nuclear missiles at Thanyou, it caused a chain reaction that shook the world. The Thanyou aresnal was fired first, destroying the invading forces, the border, and many neutral targets across the world as well. The Imperial Duchy and its allies' arsenals opened up next in response to the Thanyou launch. When neutral nations were hit, their arsenals were shot as well. No nation has escaped the bombardment, except the City State of Trexerica. Even it, however, will not escape the nuclear winds that are being carried across the world.

The direct death toll cannot be counted, but the optimistic estimates put the population of a world formerly the home of 12 billion souls at 3 billion. The secondary casualties are, again, optimistically estimated to rise to a further 2 billion over the nest months.

Organized governments across the world have either collapsed or are struggling to survive.

Welcome to the world of Week 3.

Dark Brown denotes areas that are now uninhabitable.

The Pope is still alive and okay.

Also we fire 3 nukes of the Thanyou and we begin a full scale invasion.

Daedwartia Calls for a Global White Peace, as we have just all lost the war. I declare we spend time reclaiming lost lands. Daedwartian also reports that 70% of its people made it into the Interconnected Vault System. We are willing to except regugees from all nations. Also, We have now Moved our Capital To the Colony Tamb's Glory, at Lagrange Point 3. All government members, including my self are currently in route. All Daedwartian Space Colonies are currently accepting immigrants. Also, we have decided to being a mass colony construction program, which when finished, 40% of our population will be moved to (current population that is). We will then start a lunar mining program, followed by a second colony expansion to fit the other 60 percent.

Replicators have already begun to rebuild damaged areas, recovery time is estimated at less than a week. Leadership has begun to move to Clavius Base on Luna just in case. Arcology shielding has been activated, as have ground, air, and space SDI systems. All major cities should be protected. Thanks to memory uploading and rejuvenation technologies, the death count should be next to zero.
