Bill O'Reilly has been fired

That's up to his boss. I'd probably be pissed and might report him to higher ups, I just don't think the law needs to get involved.
Of course not. Because there's nothing at all wrong with refusing service to someone who refuses to give in to sexual harassment.

Infracted for a slur.

The actual quote is "When men were men, and women were women... and n-words knew their place", get it right Tak, sheesh.:p
The hell? Sorry, I was discussing people, you raisin-hater.

That's, like, so sad. Raisins are the true 'Murican fresh fruit.

I thought raisins was a restaurant....

As I've already explained, raisins are terrorist barbarian godless communist heathen savages, that make the statue of liberty cry with their every breath.

Okay, after consulting the urban dictionary I can see where you are coming from. I don't think it would ever occur to a Californian to use 'raisin' in this context.

But I'm not a Californian.

I am. Which is why I had to consult the urban dictionary before I had any clue what his issue with raisins could possibly be about.

It's far easier. I eat raisin biscuits. Sommerswerd doesn't eat raisins (sad!). So we are in disagreement.

There have been tons of lawsuits involving racism and sexism against minorities and women at Fox recently. My only surprise is it's taken this long.

I've been thinking for a couple days now. In the few times I'd watched The O'Reilly Factor for more than a minute or two he'd seemed to be a relatively congenial person, even if his opinions were almost always in disagreement with mine. For example, he hadn't outright equated liberalism with lunacy or labelled all women who disagreed with him as ‘shrill’ as Sean Hannity does -at least not while I was watching the show.

Then it finally struck me that, as luck had determined, I had only ever seen him interviewing white people, native US citizens, all above 40 years of age, with university degrees and often a name or career behind them. I.e. people who could hit back, who roughly fitted into the same socioeconomic spot as he did even if they didn't earn $18 million a year from a TV show.

Weird, huh?

The only 'defense' I have for that is it's all ratings. The market of his show wants exactly that, so that's what he gives them.

That said, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if he's a bigot himself.

Well, the reports are that he's been less kind on camera to female interviewees, especially those who are younger than him and/or disagree with him.

Also, from the rumour mill, there was something about an offscreen spat with Megyn Kelly.

Maddow is beating his timeslot in ratings consistently now lol

The Trump effect.
