Botwawki 2.6

Just give me the Blue and white part of it I guess those work for colors but that seal is just....nightmarish

Ok, so I understand a new party of flags is due after the next update, so I'm asking all new joiners, re-joiners, and just people who got their faction reformed: what do you see as a theme for your nation's flag?

I think these are the factions that may need a flag update (if they want):
- Great City of Orlando
- Reclaimed Free Republic
- Louisiana Reclamation District
- The Dademen
- People's Republic of America
- Paradise Kingdom
- Did I forget anyone?

I can't promise to stick to your themes 100%, but I'll keep your requests in mind.

EDIT: EQ - are there any non-player communities or even factions you'd like me to draw flags/emblems for? Waycross and the Fellowship of the Palm are the first that come to mind.

For the Reclaimed Free Republic I was thinking a vertical Triband, but not sure what colors. I have sense of visual design so that's all up to you. As for symbols, something that both represents the Reclamation as well as the three founding parties of the republic.

As always thanks for doing these, looking forward to whatever you come up with!

No way! Even if I substitute all Sunshine Wasteland town names with numbers, the railroad system will make it unreadable.

That's about the reason I haven't put the railroads on the map. It would add nasty clutter, and I was already a bit hesitant about the Great Wall.

My only suggestion is maybe mark towns that have railroad stations in them with some different label, while letting users figure out the exact railroad grid for themselves. I'll try and see if it works.

Meanwhile, EQ, do you have a full list of towns with train stations? If not, don't worry, I'll just manually go through the stats and find those out.

I think railroads are possible on Ahigin's map, but they're work intensive.

Yeah, I just came to the same conclusion after playing around with it in Photoshop. It's possible, but takes more time than I'd like to spend updating the map.

On the other hand, how fast can the railroad network grow every turn? Maybe I'll do it.

EDIT: Did it. It doesn't look as neat as on Scarlet King's piece, because I'm trying to work in lower resolution in order not to spend half a day loading huge files on imgur.

For clarification there are two railroad lines right now:

Trans-Jacksonian Railroad
Fort Freedom - Haven - Davenport - Terminus - Edgewood - Universe City - Ocoee - Leesburg - Ocala - Newberry

Royal Sunshine Railroad
Nasacity - Mims - Paradise's Heart - Satsuma - Saint Augustine

Oh, that's quite different from what I got from the stats. I guess, because (ex-)nations' capitals don't list train stations, but still act as railroad nodes. That's very helpful, I'll update the grid on my side.

Meanwhile, I decided to make a timelapse of the last several years of the game map:

Nasacity -> Mims can bite me.

Ocala->Satsuma would be interesting. It would connect the two rail systems pretty nicely. Terminus->Christmas->Nasacity would be even better, but probably more expensive. Both ideas would require bridges.

Almost forgot, brief reminder that the update will be started on Tuesday.

Tennessee Valley Authority

Spoiler :
150 men armed with 150 2-H weapons are to go east to scavenge McDouglas and Midway, with an emphasis on materials that we badly need to expand our agricultural sector.

250 men, armed with 250 laser weapons and 100 power armored suits will attack the Raider settlement. Before we launch the attack, send a group of two messengers in to demand their surrender and annexation into the TVA; refusal, or any sort of brutal treatment of the messengers, and the armed group will immediately attack. Any raider who surrenders will be treated humanely and given a place to work, food to eat, and land to live on. Those who don't will have their heads put on spikes and put around the town. After we take the town, 100 soldiers with 100 laser weapons and 50 power armored suits should stay behind to defend it.

25 soldiers with 25 2-H weapons should be sent independently to be stationed semi-permanently at Midway, preparing the area for our expansion as soon as we have the materials.

The Authority's Challenge
Spoiler :
We will not permit slavery within our territory, and we will not be cowed by the threats of raiders. In fact, in order to prove that point, when we destroy the raider town, the heads of any raider who doesn't immediately surrender will be put on a rebar spike and lined around the town.

Challenge & Military Orders:
Spoiler :

We will never yield to these barbarians known as the Steelmen. The Atom Union has and will always be a bastion of democracy and freedom, and we shall defend these ideals even if it means the utter destruction of our settlements, for we will have served a purpose greater than mere survival under tyrants.

Set our military to maximum to alert, and try to employ our stealth technologies as soon as that may be. Should the Steelmen attack us, we will give them everything we've got.

Sadly these will be my final orders, as I will have to leave after this due to my exams. Can an arrangement be made where the Atom Union is NPC'ed?

@Polyblank: The Atom Union can easily be NPCed along the lines of the Survivalist Union. Assuming it survives the update.

Dragon Lord's Challenge:
Spoiler :
These immigrants will make a valuable addition to our growing tribe, let them in with open arms, teach them our ways, teach them how to fight and to hun, and welcome them with open arms.

Orders:
Spoiler :
The Dademen need materials and food if they are to survive, To the north east is Miami, which is terribly hostile, and while it is probably teaming resources, there are some places in the wasteland you just do not go to.

Therefore send a scouting party of 25 men south each armed with a 1-h gun and a stealth boy, to only be used in the most dire and dangerous of circumstances, south to the ruins of Kendall to search for any useful materials, weapons, ammo, food, anything that could be brought back.

Send a second scouting party of the same amount of men and weapons further south to Homestead and Florida City, which in pre war times was an agricultural and tourist area. Scout out this area as well, however be cautious, search for survivors and any survivor groups, report back to me (Aygon) of any survivors there, I wish to conduct diplomacy with them if possible. (next turn) Again, bring back anything of value, or that can be used to improve our current territory, but try not to use life, if at all possible.
